This forum will crack and go into full on butthurt sooner or later

Odds are already out for a rematch, Izzy the favorite. Similar to how he was coming off the 3rd Pereira loss, but obv the dynamics are a bit different this time.

@Seahawks Fan already posted a thread simply stating the odds, and the level of insecurity show by the sher... sherr??? sher-something? I used to have a word for the users of this forum. Anyway the level of insecurity was off the chart, the first reply was "ban this troll". Insane cope

While there is a lot of talk about how great Seans performance was (and it was) there's also the other side of the coin, how was Izzy's performance. Everyone - bar the most insecure (so most of this forum) has said yeah he looked off, Sean himself saying it was like he wasn't even trying - he was a C grade Izzy, DDP not wanting to fight this version of Izzy etc.

And now it looks imminent the reason for the lack luster performance will be announced. And whoa its gonna be crazy. The cope, the shattered dreams, the realization of in all likelihood it took the best version of Sean to beat the worst version of Izzy. The rematch announcement, the deja vu of Izzy vs Alex, the focused Izzy (as he was in the lead up to Periera 2), yep he'll probably come up with a cringe story line and manifestation theme.

And then.... 3 time champ

or not, no one knows the future, but the odds makers who don't get involved emotionally like this forum does, who simply look at all the evidence available... including that something was obviously very wrong with Izzy on sunday, have Izzy as the favorite in a rematch.

peace out sher... sher..... sher t a.... Sherbros!

Odds makers had Izzy at like 1.14 faves as closing, they know much about MMA as you do.

I made Dana White money betting on Sean, enjoy your foodstamps champ.

How are you not a better fighter, if you beat the fighter you are compared with in complete dominance <{1-10}>

That's the whole " better" vs "greater" thing. Sean beat Izzy, so he's considered better right now. But he's not going to be considered greater until he accomplishes more feats than Izzy.

Lets just do rematches. Chances are that old champ vs new champ will always net you more money, so lets just rematch until all champions are those the UFC likes best aka the most deserving.

Actually many are saying the exact opposite and only very few agree with this, and those that agree have a vested interest to do so (ie Pink Goof for example) but I guess some of you still need to cope with this shocking loss somehow so you make up these fantasies in your head that Adesanya was off and or not himself or maybe even injured and so on and so forth.

Go cry some more salt baby.

The oddsmakers doesnt look at avaliable evidence you donce, they set the line to inducce most betting on the particular fight.

There is a possibility Pereira broke Izzy in their first match where he finished him. In the rematch Izzy wasn't exactly dominating before he was able to catch Pereira coming in, he sort of rope a doped. So mentally there is a possibility Izzy just doesn't have the fire anymore. He's also 34 so that's getting up there.

i just watched the fight again last night. Sean's parrying, blocking and evasion were all on point. most things Izzy threw Sean either checked or moved out of the way. the Aftermath article broke down a lot of what Sean did really well.

Sean limited Izzy to just 34% of his strikes landed, due to his stellar defensive skill.

i think Izzy shouldve tried to be more dynamic and throw stuff he normally doesnt. maybe he shouldve even tried mixing in takedowns. but he didnt, and Sean outclassed him on the feet for 4 of the 5 rounds. i dont see a need for an immediate rematch when Izzy just won his belt back the previous fight. do we REALLY want more favoritism situations like Conor where the belt is held hostage by one guy? i think with 2 solid wins over top contenders, Izzy is right back up there in the mix for a title shot. and with the state of the division now, he has a chance to win it back for a 3rd time.

This is what gets me. Izzy looked about the same as he did against Vittori, Cannonier and Romero. The only difference is that the guy he was facing didn't "fight scared" and walked forward instead of standing still waiting. He ABSOLUTLEY has more losses like this in him. This rematch, should it be granted, will be a far harder one to prepare for than the second Alex fight.

Where was all this talk before the fight?

Apparently short notice Strickland was supposed to be an easy lay up for Izzy to stay busy before the DDP matchup

Now people are talking about Izzy like he is a professional victim because Strickland exposed him in all areas of MMA striking offensively & defensively
