The meltdown is coming

When watching the first minutes of the fight I felt Izzy was something off. And after the knockdown he kind of looked liked he woke up in the second. But in the end it wasn't enough, he couldn't deal with Sean's gameplan and got stuck in the same position over and over again

I even thought it was weird that Sean would get him to the cage, jab and let him get away, but it worked and he won a confortable decision.

I don't think it's crazy Izzy being the favorite in a rematch given his body of work, but I don't want to see a rematch right now.

Let the division move on.

Statistically most beaten champs lose the second time. But Izzy was able to beat the odds against Alex.

I agree with Rogan and Shuab on this one. This wasn't Izzy getting caught early in the fight for a flash KO. This was Izzy getting walked down for 5 god damn rounds. This is the second time Izzy lost in 3 fights. I'm ok if Izzy has to earn that rematch by fighting a few times.

That said, the fight game is crazy and the rematch has it's highest value right now. Either fighter could lose before they get to fight again, lessening the rematch value. So with that logic, I'd understand why Dana makes that fight happen again.

This forum will crack and go into full on butthurt sooner or later

Odds are already out for a rematch, Izzy the favorite. Similar to how he was coming off the 3rd Pereira loss, but obv the dynamics are a bit different this time.

@Seahawks Fan already posted a thread simply stating the odds, and the level of insecurity show by the sher... sherr??? sher-something? I used to have a word for the users of this forum. Anyway the level of insecurity was off the chart, the first reply was "ban this troll". Insane cope

While there is a lot of talk about how great Seans performance was (and it was) there's also the other side of the coin, how was Izzy's performance. Everyone - bar the most insecure (so most of this forum) has said yeah he looked off, Sean himself saying it was like he wasn't even trying - he was a C grade Izzy, DDP not wanting to fight this version of Izzy etc.

And now it looks imminent the reason for the lack luster performance will be announced. And whoa its gonna be crazy. The cope, the shattered dreams, the realization of in all likelihood it took the best version of Sean to beat the worst version of Izzy. The rematch announcement, the deja vu of Izzy vs Alex, the focused Izzy (as he was in the lead up to Periera 2), yep he'll probably come up with a cringe story line and manifestation theme.

And then.... 3 time champ

or not, no one knows the future, but the odds makers who don't get involved emotionally like this forum does, who simply look at all the evidence available... including that something was obviously very wrong with Izzy on sunday, have Izzy as the favorite in a rematch.

peace out sher... sher..... sher t a.... Sherbros!

Izzy was almost completely dominated by the most basic boxing fundamentals. He can only be set as a favorite so crooked sports betting companies can con millions from idiots.

Nothing says "I'm a pathetic sore loser who's still salty about the last fight" like a big cope post about a fight that already happened days ago.
Eat your crow like a man and move on, seething over the result and crying while saying "n-next time will be different!" only makes you look like a fucking moron who's too invested in your fighter.

Bro why are you here insulting everyone on this forums calling us shertards and very insecure and clueless ?? if you really think that then why are you on here? surely this wouldn't be a place you would want to be, wheres the logic. You sound sad and upset.

Odds being out means nothing to be fair. Plenty of fights that never happened have had odds put out in it

lol, tonight in "Sherdog's greatest intellects" Seahawks Fan and TS:

Styles make fights.
Strickland's style may very well be to Adesanya what Weidman's was to Silva.

Regarding the rematch, Strickland should be the favorite, it's not that easy to adapt your style when you're so deep in your career.

Izzy better take a step back and wait for Strickland to lose.

what hilarious and shows the cope of this forum, and how desperate you keyboard tappers want for there to be nothing wrong , is that Strickland himself said a bunch of times he felt Izzy was off

"wasn't even trying"
"was a C grade version of Izzy"

so ponder that, you keyboard tapping incels are so desperate in your cope for "nothing to have been wrong" that your think you warped basement dwelling view supersedes that of the guy that was in the cage with Izzy.

You can't make this stuff up

anyway, deja vu, just as I roasted you guys after the loss Izzy had to Periera by pointing out he needed to be saved by the bell to win, and that he was odds on favourite to win the rematch.... oh how did that pan out?

He again is odds on favorite, slightly different circumstance, this time Izzy was off, likely injured (it will come out sooner or later - maybe not injured), and there will probably be a rematch, and Izzy will probably win :)

Thats probably how this will play out.

But yeah, keep insisting nothing was wrong, despite Strickland saying multiple times he felt there was. Thats next level cope. I love it :)
you keep saying everyone else is coping, but i think youre the one coping by having to create this thread in the first place.
i think you discredit both Sean and Izzy when you disparage both of their performances.
oh and im married so the token "incel" insult that's all the rage these days doesnt work on me.

Cool story bro.
Now when can we see that 750$ Izzy poster you bought?

Would you say Serra was the better fighter after GSP/Serra 1?

Odds are already out for a rematch, Izzy the favorite. Similar to how he was coming off the 3rd Pereira loss, but obv the dynamics are a bit different this time.

I'm rooting for Sean in the rematch and I'm not surprised Izzy is the favorite in the rematch. I've played sports when I was younger. There were days I was great and days I was terrible, I couldn't explain it. MMA is a game of inches so crazy things happen in this sport. Is Izzy starting to slip? Was it just an off night? Has Sean elevated himself to the very top of the division permanently? Does Sean just have Izzy's number? I didn't want Izzy to get the rematch but many of these questions could be answered if and when they meet again.

He was certainly the better fighter on the night. Maybe in retrospective Izzy's done a lot better over the course of their two whole MMA careers. But on the night Sean was certainly the better fighter. Was Izzy injured or compromised in some way? We don't know. All we know was Sean was better on the night. Kudos to him.

Meltdown coming? This thread is a continuation of the meltdown that began at the end of the 1st round Saturday Night.

People that wager on MMA seriously will be frickin stoked at the opportunity to catch SS at plus odds after the first fight.
