Ugh. What a totally predictable response.

*yawn
name five comic book movie veterans who directed a sequel to a comic book movie that didn’t already direct the first one?

or do you think a director who has directed a single comic book movie is already considered a veteran?

fwiw the highest grossing Iron Man & Thor movies were directed by comic book movie newbies. Winter Soldier also had a higher box office gross than The First Avenger.

Yeah ill agree with that.

These movies made a lot of money, which means a lot of people saw them and now know the actors. Then, if they like the movies, which they typically do, they seek out and then know the film makers.

This new director has 6 credits, all of which are didnt make a lot of money. Coming from the 1st movies sales (on the curtails of Infinity War mind yous), its a gamble to have a sequel being directed by someone inexperienced.

But yet...here she is.

Well, I learned after Randy Couture defeated Tim Sylvia that the selection mechanism for title shots, chances at fame, and tons of different jobs, can’t really be trusted, or even relied on for fairness.

Because, if you’re good enough to beat the champ on the night, you’re good enough to be champ, even if your last fight was a KO loss at LHW. The road to fame and fortune is full of bends and potholes and snipers.

I liked the first Captain Marvel so I hope it works out

Another gay ass superhero movie. I can imagine what kind of people are going to watch this

angry mental midgets shouldn’t be using internet buzzwords like “triggered” because you clearly don’t know what does & what doesn’t constitute being triggered.

at least Feige & the mouse have the decency to not hire a can like Zack Snyder to carry the full weight of their most valuable IP & are willing to give a conduit into the mainstream consciousness for independent filmmakers who have been building a career on the festival circuit & picking up critical acclaim along the way.

i’ll never understand why diversity is considered a negative
Yikes dude, why so angry lol

Some of you old folk sure are weird. I’ll leave it here because you trolling in this thread is disrespectful to what dragon is trying to do.

I saw your other responses with folks. Its clear youre out for a different agenda. Ive already started conversation with others.

Move on, dorothy.

I went in not knowing about the character, other than Rogue from xmen fucks her up. When i saw it i.....knew i wasnt gonna watch it again.

She was never in danger, her becoming all powerful was dull, and the acting was boring. I tried. I paid for the ticket and i tried.

When it was all said and done, i thought before endgame, is this bitch gonna come in a and steal the show? Shes got no weakness! ..unless rogue gets her.

That said, they handled her fairly, at best, in endgame. However, shes way too powerful and its for the same reasons i find rey in disney star wars to be a bit dry.

Brie larson has been a loudmouth lately and with marvel getting xmen back, the best thing to do is get rogue on her and rid us of this issue.

I thought the first one was cool and look forward to the second. I wish they'd make a Miss Marvel movie though.

pretty sure it’s the people politicizing DaCosta’s hiring that are the ones out for an agenda itt.

So you want Ana Paquin to use her vampire esque powers on Captain Marvel, bringing the True Blood-X-Men connection to it's final conclusion! Well I'd be fine with that from a story standpoint, but I want Eric Northman to play archangel. A better version too, no angst, make him revel in violence.

And I still think the movie was great. I thought Larson played the character just right. The 3rd act wasn't very good but tons of marvel movies are like that. And yeah I don't know why they decided to make her a Thor tier character, that feels like a decision designed to induce debate on chat forums rather than being particularly story driven...and it will create some hurdles for the writers going forward. But nothing they can't overcome, and the tactic of getting people to debate about a character is a great way to get people to invest in it, if they like it, or to go see it and hate on it online after. Either way they get their money like the wwe.

It would have been nice to see her in a close fight with some kind of even opponent in the 3rd act. Something tough and Kree, like the Shatterax. But otherwise I really liked it. And a big CGI fight wasn't handled too well by the CGI in Black Panther so maybe they were avoiding making another mistake like that.

What did i just tell u
that perhaps it is possible you jumped to conclusions & were sorry for lashing out in the way you did

at least i think that’s what you just told me

did you know Favreau as a filmmaker or an actor though? obviously Whedon had Buffy on his resume, but he wasn’t making a name for himself as a film director. he was also the creator of the series, whereas the Russos just directed multiple episodes of a handful of popular series. i wasn’t trying to make the argument that the Russos had as much of a name as Whedon anyways.
Some of their episodes on Community were awesome.

NO! Not ana paquin or whatever the fuck. With a new cast member, and a new Mystique, id absolutely love that! Taking out a thorn in the Marvels side? Oh abso-fucking-lutely.

In her movie, yeah! She needed someone to fight! All we were left with was some bitch, whom was told she could never be that good, fell into some powers. Then we watched it blossom.

I didnt care much for some other marvel movies, but they had struggles. Ant man is always a man, dr strange is too egotistical for his own good, black panther loses his kingdom. Carol danvers had..what? Losing her memory? All she had to do was pinch that zit on her neck.

No....they really shit the bed with this. To add insult to injury, they overshadowed Scarlett Witch. SHE is great. So great, shes got her own show!

I think this is doomed, at this point. Perhaps this inexperienced director can do wonders. The asshole that did Ragnorak did, though he had more talent to work with, i don't want to see it fail, but i have doubts.

I think shifting to xmen is a better move.

No, i told you to hush and my eyes, if you could see them, told you to go fuck with someone else.

i feel like i’d also see a little bit of water welling up

some absolute classics. Joe’s paintball sequel 2-parter being a standout.
Absolutely. One of my favourites. Advanced dungeons and dragons was another good one.

Looking forward to the sequel. Lol.. I don't know, I enjoyed the CM movie.
