Second part of my theory - these guys rewrote Luke Skywalker in the sequel trilogy to be sort of the butt end of a joke. This latest finale in the Mandalorian showed Luke Skywalker being a badass white male.

They didn't like that. But, they also didn't write for the show, so they couldnt do anything about it.

Heath Ledger's death is as much if not more responsible for audiences growing to accept comic book films -- THE DARK KNIGHT came out the same year as IRON MAN. Plus Crybaby wouldn't have cried were it not for the bad feedback the Sequels endured. Had Luke "been better represented" in the Sequels, we wouldn't be here -- but NOT if Luke was a wooden CGI clone like he was in MANDO. No one would have wanted that, not then not there.
