Just wrapped up watching all of those episodes this weekend. I wasn't going to watch but then I saw the Luke moment. I liked it a lot more than the first season.

I'm pretty much Star Wars'ed out thanks to the new trilogy and honestly didn't understand the hype of the first season. It was well done but it just felt kinda boring and I really didn't care about the Mandalorian character. Season 2 opens up a bit more and while there were 1 or 2 filler episodes, most had something interesting happen.

I'm really big on practical effects and it really blows me away how much they do with puppets and models. Really mind blowing stuff for a TV show and it fits the aesthetic of the original Star Wars more than any of the movies or prequels. They nailed it. Plus, you get to see a lot of interesting races and things you'd never expect to see. I loved seeing the Sand People team up to fight the Krayt Dragon and their perspective. I didn't really like the Bo Katan side plot or characters but I also didn't watch Clone Wars so none of that meant anything to me. Also so I didn't watch Clone Wars, Ahsoka was new to me but I really enjoyed her episode and character. Excellent cinematography in the episode.

Bill Burr's episode also really stood out and I loved Mando having to take his helmet off to scan his face and then sitting through an awkward conversation. Finally, the Luke moment at the end. For all of the Luke fans that felt completely disrespected by what the new movies did, we got our hero moment in the last episode. Yes, it sucks that it had to be CG but I thought it looked pretty good and was certainly miles ahead of the Princess Leia CG in Rogue One. The music as he mowed down the Dark Troopers was awesome and the scene basically (and I think intended) was the parallel version of the Vader scene from Rogue One. Excellent stuff.

Honestly, I think this should have been the end of the show. Mando accomplished his mission and you could bring him back in another spinoff show to meet a fully trained and grown Grogu. Season 3 is going to be grasping for ideas and feels like it's going to have a lot of filler and make it up as they go along.

P.S. Gina is fat.

So how hell does a laser rifle jam?
Not sure, but Mando's did the same against the Mudhorn. Apparently they still fire from power bolts from cartridges that are bullet like.

Has anyone seen the Irishman. That was the best de-aging tech I’ve seen.

disney should’ve used that tech. They made 80 something year old Deniro look 40
There's a video around stating that the Mandalorian did not make use of the 3D mapping technology that these big movies did. They budgeted for regular 2D GFX.

As fucking terrible as the last three movies are the last episode of the mandolorian almost made up for it. Almost.

I loved both seasons of Mandolorian, but even I wouldn't go that far.

Seems like even Disney knows how badly they've fucked up and they're scared to make new movies. They don't want another 'Solo' debacle on their heads.

Even David & Dan of Game of Thrones fame signed up for their own trilogy, and within a few months they realized what it was like working for Kathleen Kennedy and said 'fuck this shit.'

I rewatched the whole video. Probably the twentieth time I've watched these although not usually all at once.

They proved there is no shortage of people who can put together stunning pieces based on Star Wars lore. Why couldn't they have used these people to make films?

Is the animation they used for these so much more expensive than the animation they use in the other features? It's so much better.
These fucking retards always think they can do it better despite no evidence that’s the case.

TBH hardcore Star Wars fans were just as stupid. They were actually excited that JJ Abrams was going to save Star Wars from George Lucas!

Is there a more dangerous combination than Kennedy and D&D?

Talk about the gold standard for pissing off the fans.

This season was excellent. The last episode in particular was very well done, I could have went without boba fighting to a draw with Sasha banks lmfao that was a little heartbreaking but that’s my only gripe about the finale.

The first episode, and the last 3 episodes were the best of the bunch IMO.

I also really enjoyed the sequels, I know it’s trendy to say how bad they are and how they ruined Star Wars but I’ve enjoyed all 9 movies as well as Rogue one and solo ( Rogue One was better than solo tho ) and sure some may be better than others but I like them all. I remember people trashing the Prequel trilogy for 10 years but now they act like they were good and the Sequel trilogy is terrible lol hardcore SW elitists are the worst tbh... just enjoy all things SW

No worse than Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy.

It speaks alot even D&D wouldn't tolerate her bullshit.

It's not being "trendy" saying the sequel trilogies were bad.

They were just bad... period. It's not "elitist" to say a movie is just plainly bad. I wanted to like them, but they just were severely disappointing. Shoving politics into our faces aside, the movies had horrible character development, illogical plots, plot holes, and bad storytelling.

The Force Awakens was a complete rehash of the first movie. Last Jedi - ughhh. Rewatched it again and it's just bad. Again, I wanted to like them. The Rise of Skywalker made zero sense.

They treat beloved former characters like throwaways and make them irrelevant with actions that are completely opposite of what they would have done.

I thought Rogue One was ok. Solo - mehhh.

The original prequel trilogies had some cringe acting and stupid characters like Jar Jar, but at least they were consistent with the mythology and lore of the Star Wars universe. The sequel trilogies tried to carve out a new path (while throwing out what made Star Wars such a colossal success) and failed spectacularly.

Is that really the story?

I assumed when Game of Thrones dissolved into a festering puddle of ichor Disney told them to get lost.

Its just speculation at this point, but Kathleen basing them with 'There's no source material or 800 page books!' (which backfired in her face) tells me some shit went down between them behind the scenes.

And if Disney was more concerned about the goodwill from fans, they'd fire Kathleen Kennedy and fully remove any speculation of exactly the extent of her influence in LucasFilm.

they'd fire Kathleen Kennedy
