also, regarding boba fett. agree with the other poster who mentioned his look was off due to the MC Hammer parachute pants he was sporting.
mando gotta still have some of his old armor to hook boba up with no, particularly thigh and shin guards.

wtf, damn someone get that man some armor on his weird ass legs

No, they couldn’t get involved or else they could have blown Mando’s cover. The empire would no doubt be curious as to why a couple of random snipers were helping them save that particular transport, and BillBurr Baggins/Mando didn’t need the heat.

Question for you:

Billy said "Mandalore and Alderaan are both gone" at one point in the episode, I know what happened to Alderaan but what happened to Mandalore? They were in a civil war in rebels, and then what happened? Did the Empire bomb them?
I don't think there any mandolorians left on Mandalore , I believe that's what he was referring to

Ah yes, of coarse... that's why the sniperz weren't helping during the attempted hijack. They were there for the escape & so couldn't reveal themselves yet.

The empire had been releasing propoganda that the planet was not inhabitable... & so it didn't blow up like Alderaan did. What Mayfield said, was in jest because no more Mandalorians are "being born" on Mandalore. So his jest was that it doesn't exist any more.

12:30 - "If you were born on Mandalore, you believe one thing, if you were born on Alderaan you believe in another, but guess what... neither one exists any more."

"The Great Purge of Mandalore" & the Empire's mining of beskar has apparently ravaged the planet... but it's still there obviously & still being controlled & occupied by the Empire, otherwise Bo-Katan wouldn't need guns to re-take it.

There's very little information about "The Great Purge" & exactly what kind of shape the planet is in.

After 1 BBY when Bo-Katan became the crowned Mandalore (but before 5 ABY)... ... the empire realized they couldn't control them while leaving the Mandalorians in government like they had for the last 17 years. So they attacked & beat them to near extinction & immediately began mining teh fook out of the planet for Beskar.

What kind of shape the planet is in... is not quite clear, but we do know the Empire has released propaganda that it's worse than it is... via Ep. 11 (15:10) when they buy him a drink.
  • Din: "The planet is cursed, anyone who goes there dies. Once the Empire knew they couldn't control it, they made sure no-one could either."
  • Bo-Katan: "Don't believe everything you hear. Our enemies want to separate us"
Once again though... to your question... we see that the planet is still there... & maybe it's not in as bad a shape as their propaganda would have the galaxy believe... & by extension that Mayfield also believed when he said that.

I like Gina. I even like Gina in this role. But she’s not a great actress. Improving, yes. But she’s been the weak link as far as acting goes.

I don't agree that she's a weak link or that her acting is as bad as some are making it out to be... but that's not my point either.

My comment wasn't about his opinion... it's about him endlessly littering this thread with that opinion to the point that it's becomes sport. We cannot allow the Star Wars haters to run rampant in here. That shit gets out of hand too quick & so it's better to keep it at bay from the start.

This is the Way

bro are you crazy. I already said this episode was great. What are you not understanding?
  1. You said to someone she's a "horrible actress"
  2. You told someone else it shows the lack of taste they have for liking her
  3. you expressed yet again "she's a bad actress"
  4. You you told me she was "Terrible Terrible"
  5. You told me a 2nd time she's "Terrible"

I understand everything just fine. You're shitting on her for sport & I'm not having it. That's fine if you want to declare once that you don't like her acting, but to continue to do that is just stinking up the place.

To tell someone they "lack taste" because they don't agree with your high horse bullshit opinion is fucked & I'm going to make it as uncomfortable for you as possible to continue to spit your venom in here while we're trying to have healthy discussions.

<Neil01>

I'm all for Gina, and I'd lick her butthole no matter how chonky she got.... But she's a shit actress. Star Wars has never been known for its amazing dialogue though.

Alright... you've expressed your pov. Now there's no need for you to keep expressing it right?

Moff igniting his saber into Grogu’s face, taunting him, saying “you’re not ready to play with such things yet” gave me that feel too
You left out teh "Christmas Story" reference?

A major plot hole: why was the transport of the volatile material done with tanks when they have ships that can fly them from one part to another? Isn't flying the minerals a good way not too get blown up by the locals?

I actually like gina in this.

For one i've been a fan from the MMA days, so even with her wooden acting i find myself rooting for her to get some great scenes in. But also i like the chemistry she has with Mando. It somehow just works, carl weathers as well. When the three of them were together it felt organic and i hope we get more of that in future episodes.

Of course it would be even better if gina can get into actual fighting shape for the next season. Thick ginas still hot but fit gina is ridiculous.

It seems a little too quick to call something a plot hole before you know the whole story. I'll give you that it has potential, but what did we see? A lot of road with no crashes except in one spot 2 units were previously exploded & turned over. When did that happen? Were they even freedom fighter attacks or did they just overheat? Nobody said "the pirates are back" or anything like that. They seemed to have been caught by surprise.

This operation has obviously been going for a long time for Mayfield to know that it had a hub. Has the threat been constant enough to warrant the extra cost involved in air travel?

Why didn't they all have aerial Tie support escorting them? ...& why did it take so long to dispatch the Tie's? Why were there only 2 troopers in the truck? It seems pretty obvious that this is not a regular thing if you peace all that together.

Also can raw unrefined Rhydonium be transported by air? There's a lot of questions that need to be answered before we can declare a plot hole.

Didn't look like there was much landing room at the base for transport ships.

Ahhhhh right right ok, the great purge. So the Empire really messed planet Mandalore up after Rebels, did the “great purge”, scattered them to the winds and then spread lies/misinformation. We don’t actually know the fate of Mandalore except that things got really bad for a bit, and we will discover more as we go

Ty much appreciated

Not really,it was a bit of a plot hole. And airtravel would be far smoother than any suspension damping on that road in those trucks.

Not really what? I pointed out a lot of things that we don't know. The very least of which was that this was obviously not a regular occurrence.

Even if we do assume that unrefined Rhydonium can handle differences in elevation & remain stable... there wouldn't be any reason for them to do the much more expensive method if this wasn't a regular occurrence. I would point out again the many things I listed about the attack that point to this NOT being a regular occurrence as well as the other obvious fact that they've been doing this for a while now.
