Lucas knows how to intro toys.

That is what Star Wars is, it’s hype for toys; Lucas is a genius at that. Basically flawless and undefeated, no matter the quality of the movie he’s made or series he’s producing.

Now with that Lucas Disney toy partnership, alongside a high quality show like Mando, check out the toy sales

https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/04/19/how-disney-could-boost-toy-sales-at-hasbro.aspx

“In the fourth quarter of last year, the partner brands segment, which includes sales of licensed toys from Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS), exploded with 50% year-over-year growth. That tremendous performance was driven by a robust content slate from the House of Mouse, including the release of Frozen 2, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and The Mandalorian on the new streaming service, Disney+. These new releases drove strong engagement with licensed entertainment properties for Hasbro such as Star Wars lightsabers and the Arendelle Castle from Frozen.”

50 fucking percent sales increase.

50.

3% would be considered great.

If you got rid of the sweatshop wages good quality Star Wars could single handedly produce a bunch of first world countries

Didn't read 48 pages of thread...
Boys so tell me...Is it as good as S1? Decent?
If you like the first season, you'll likely like the 2nd season as well. If you're a clone wars and/or rebels fan, then you'll likely find the 2nd season much more interesting than the first.

On Episode 3 of Rebels. Damn. Ashoka isn’t in it yet. Ain’t that some shit.

Even so, this show is better than Clone Wars already. Imperial style and attitudes are awesome to behold. Star Wars is better when the Sith is in charge.

it took me awhile to get into Clone Wars, though the series got much better as it went along, IMO. it was much easier for me to get into Rebels.

Its a good show though. I like that you could show it to your kid and it sort of ages with them. Show them season 1-4 when they’re like 8 or under years old, along with the two first prequels. They will have grown up with the nice stuff, then you just crush the kid when they turn 10 showing them how the Anakin stories end. Lol

Luke showing up would make no real sense at all considering where he ends up in the reylo trilogy.

Finding a baby yoda would probably be enough for him to not end up like the stupid shit we got in the reylo trilogy.

....

fuck all the untapped potential they had for that trilogy

I am watching the first episode of Rebels; so the blue haired Aladdin kid is Ezra right?

Man...this kid is 100% Star Wars Aladdin. But I dig it. I hope Ashoka fucks his brains out.
I’ve been watching Clone Wars because I like Mando and I finally got to season 7, when events happen concurrently with Revenge of the Sith, and even though I swore to myself I would never watch that piece of shit movie again, I watched it.

I expected that after having watched the entire clone wars it might make Revenge of the Sith better. But no; the romance is still just god awful, nobody’s decisions make any sense, the dialogue sounds like it was written by a kindergartener and the action scenes are a mess.

It’s so bad that even after watching the whole clone wars show I felt nothing when Grevious finally went down, when Mace died....fuck what an abysmal piece of shit.
Ummmmm thata like the 4th best of the 9 starx wars trilogy movies. Hate to hear ur thoughts on the other from then

Can’t believe I’m almost through season 1 of Rebels and Ashoka not in it

The short lekku are alittle weird but probably too impractical for the show.

I noticed that too but figured it might just be shrinkage caused by the cold of a perpetually overcast planet. Like a frightened turtle.

Sure the romance scenes were unwatchable and there was some plot stupidity like in every SW movie, but every scene with Obi Wan + Anakin was fantastic and if you can't appreciate their battle at the end, you're not a Star Wars fan. Palpatine also had some epic scenes and nailed it. But I agree Grievous was portrayed as a can and they never really built up Mace Windu as a character.

Yeah even calling it 4th best is kinda harsh IMHO. I think it's either 2nd or 3rd best after E5 and E4.

The scenes with Anakin and Obi Wan were so badly acted that I think they might have been reading off cue cards.

Wow. I thought their scenes really made the movie but I guess if you hated them you'd hate the movie.

Where do you rank ROTS vs. the other movies? And which SW movies are your personal top 3? For me Empire is the clear #1 followed by ROTS, E4 and ROTJ in any order. The clear throwaway bottom 3 are the recent sequels.

Clone Wars CGI was often dull and slow moving. In Rebels, you cared more about the characters, especially Ezra the rascal. I don't think Ahsoka appears until deep into the series and then kinda brief appearances.

i really enjoyed the latest episode. it really reminded me of san infiltrating iron town in princess mononoke

Ok you guys, ordered the 1st Thrawn book to get over the free shipping hump.

I'm still somewhere in the middle of the 2nd Darth Bane book.

Some harsh truths from someone who loves Star Wars but hates Disney. He has some good points. I think some people in this thread have rationalized why so few people have any idea who Jedi are, but that never sat well with me.

I totally agree that Mando maybe having a troubled past with them could have been cool.
