I know Yodas and humans are different, but human 4 year olds are talking non stop and even beginning to play sports. Baby Yoda seems much younger. However, maybe Yodas come from eggs and their birth is reckoned not when they hatch, but by when the eggs are lain. The incubation period could be decades.

Feel bad for mother who has to sit on egg and keep it warm for decades

Digging this so far. Its nice to see that they have gone heavy on the costumed characters and set pieces and light on the cgi. It looks great

No, he's the cutest fucking thing I've ever seen. Makes Gizmo look like a pile of garbage.

I think most Star Wars alien designs look dumb but they nailed baby Yoda perfectly. You know they succeeded making it cute when grownass men are gushing over it like aunts at a baby shower.

Hmm, he's tiny but how small compared to Yoda? Can't talk but can stand and walk around, can eat on his own. I'd say he's pry around toddler age, 3-5.
I don't think he has an infant's mind. For all we know, he's already smarter than most adult humans. Perhaps it's just their physiques that mature slowly as he seemed to be keenly aware of the situations around him.
Isn't 4 kind of old tho to be in a space stroller?
They're not the most mobile species. How far do you think those tiny legs can walk? Old Yoda hated walking too.

Like he's a full on baby right

Let's be super generious and say he's 1 in human years

So in 900 years he's 18?

Yoda was 18 with a cane?

This doesn't add up they shouldn't have tried to say 50 was a baby age if 900 is old man age

something is wrong here someone explain this to me

You need to stop anthropomorphizing alien species you ignorant xenophobe.

  1. They mature at a much faster rate once they reach a certain age.
  2. He started out as a larva only a 1/4 inch long & lived in Yaddlez kangaroo pouch for the first 20 yearz of his life. He's actually a pretty impressive size for his age.
  3. He started out in a cocoon & only recently shed his caterpillar skin to evolve into a beautiful yodafly where he flew around polinating swamp flowerz for a decade, but now that his wingz recently fell off he's only now evolving in to the Yoda species we all know.
  4. They're like dogz & only live to 15- 18 yrs old
  5. Noneya :D
  6. He's a runt & will never grow to be the impressive size of Yoda & Yaddle.
  7. this guy has been living with pirates & not eating properly. Most Yoda species would be much more developed by this time.
  8. etc... <45>

I'm glad you have information the audience doesn't

He's joking. It's been kind of a long running mystery what Yodas species is and how many there are, have been, etc. Nothing is really known about them. Even 40 years after the original trilogy there hasn't been much explanation about them canonically.

I figured he was referencing some super obscure book thing

I know they are limited in info but this reads like something you would find on Wookipedia

Oh yeah, nothing joking about that post.

The real truth is much more unpleasant, so I thought to subvert your expectationz with those to save you from the horrible truth. Since you're pushing though... I'll let you have it.

As we know... Anakin Skywalker's birthday is the same as baby Yoda. So the way it went down is that anakin was born with a little green mole under his nut sack. (it's a warm incubater type of spot) He never told anyone about it out of embarrassment, & Shmi thought it would just go away one day & forgot about it. It was almost a deal breaker for Padme but they were so hot & heavy at the time (given Anakin's expert set up assist from love experts Tab & Bink) that she went ahead anyway.

Once the lil parasite's host is altered chemically by such an act, the little larval yoda creature must detach & live on it's own, & so it just slinked off into the night... but Tab & Bink saw it & gathered it up.

They raised it in a little frog aquarium, eventually making their way to Arvala-7... where they set up a Death Stix lab due to the seclusion of the place. Having obviously a shady clientele in their VERY lucrative business... it took a turn for the worse when they were raided by pirates who not only took over the Death Stix lab, but killed Tab & Bink & put "Bink Jr" on the black market for sale.

You know the rest of the story.

Alien species who knows what is their normal evolution.

Gestation, age until adulthood.. maybe after the first 50 years he grows faster by the time he is 100 he can be considered an adult no idea and to be honest I'm good if they show it cool.. if not again cool let it be a mystery might even 60/40 prefer this option.

<Fedor23>

I would like a species name tho, all this Yoda baby talk but I suspect they love it like this.. toys incoming. They even got @KnightTemplar with it.. I was smiling ear to ear when I saw his post.. really happy when SW delivers for everybody well for more people cause I'm sure you can't get everyone on board taste is subjective.

Overall imagine getting this TV show while we where growing up.. that would be so cool the adventures of this Star Wars bounty hunter, heck ya! There is a reason why this is PG13 it's a general audiences show not just for adults. (yes we couldn't stab the space rhino 10 times)

Wonder if he’s going to show up in the new Star Wars flick, which (I believe) is set 25 years after the Mandalorian. Probably covered in spots, voice starting to break, and beating himself off (using the force, presumably) every 20 minutes.

You know they will just re-sell left over boba fett inventory and slap a Mandalorian sticker on it

Kids have never been more behaved

I was going to tell the tale of Zwarte Piet, the guy who kept German kids behaved, but then I checked Google images, and Germany, you got some 'splainin' to do.

I used to play Schwartz Peter with my German grandparents.
