It’s solid so far. Not the Emo Vader or kids you just don’t care about so far.

Of all the movies post the original trilogy Rogue One was awesome IMO. Solo was OK. Everything else I wish they could take back. Just not worthy.

See, I remember reading the Expanded Universe as a kid (Shadows of the Empire, the Bounty Hunter trilogy, XWing and shit like that) and the times Boba shows up I feel like I remember it being spelled out pretty well that Boba didn't consider himself a Mandalorian even if he grew up on or near the planet of Mandalore and in those books (pre-prequels) he wore the armor cause it brought an intimidation factor that helped him in his job. Same reason he wore that braid of wookie hair on his right shoulder like the cords you see some military uniforms have the idea being he took that from a wookie he killed himself.


Also, this series worth getting Disney+ for?

30 minutes long but it came out just like 2 weeks ago so this can give a pretty good run down. I may have been wrong about the original EU stating that the Fetts (Jango and Boba) weren't Mandalorian. For fucksake I swear I read that Boba just found armor similar to what his dad wore and went with it.

Well that"s one of the ongoing issues with Disney essentially rebooting the SW Universe. Before the purchase, things between the EU and Canon played fast and loose. Now that Disney owns it. If it wasn't cited as canon, it just doesn't exist any more "officially". So everything in the newly named "Legends" segment is basically fan fiction that they may or may not borrow from. From a movie stand point, forget any hope of good stuff being brought over. From the cartoon and TV side, fans have Dave Filoni in their corner. That's how we wound up with Thrawn making it into Rebels. And no one is gonna question or challenge Filoni as he was essentially George's right hand man. Your edit is a perfect example of what fans have to deal with now. At his point, I don't even bother with the legends tab any more. It will confuse, and sometimes make you hate that Disney isn't using the good stuff in there.

As for whether D+ is worth buying? I don't know. I got a full year free as a Verizon customer. If you have Verizon too, see if you qualify. I will make a determination on whether to keep the service or not based upon how many shows I like. So they better hope all the Marvel shows are good and the other SW stuff as well.

It's obvious that Feige and Favearu have been parachuted in by Disney because they have no faith in Kennedy's ability to deliver quality product. The whole, "she had the idea for the Mandalorian" thing is just Disney on damage control: you don't want to admit that one of your most senior executives is a retarded bitch more interested in gender politics than profit.

No doubt after Rise of the Mary Sue finishes it's run, Kennedy will, ahem, "Be leaving Lucas Film to undertake exciting new projects"
