Locked THE MANDALORIAN Season 1

The mandalorians should’ve been the back drop story to the new Star Wars trilogy from the very beginning.

They should’ve copied what the clone wars did with Maul and his brother and turn one of lukes students(or relative) to the dark side and was the powerful leader the mandalorians needed to acquire more systems under their wing. Lukes student should’ve had a vision of a planet and on a spiritual coming of age story he travelels there and a which a dark side spirit coaxed him into accepting the power of the dark side.

They should’ve been the enemy to the new republic, not another empire clone like the new order.

First off they would’ve just looked completely cooler on screen and would’ve been a drastic change from the sameness of the first order. This is where modern CGI would really shine.

I could’ve written a much better outline for a new trilogy than anything we got from Disney.

I don't agree that Kylo is one dimensional. However, I do have a pretty solid theory that people "need" a big bad that curlz their skin. If they don't get it, they feel it's not up to par. I think Kylo is a fascinating villian.

He doesn't give us that vicarious power trip... but his complicated story line is very juicy to me. I got no problem at all.
He does have some interesting aspects. But they never really were shown. He also wasn't intimidating, and was easy to beat. For all they tried to develop him, they didn't utilize him properly

If Disney's gonna save their good shit for their new paid steaming service, can I withhold a few bucks from my cable bill payment each month?

Looks like their was a break in on the set and sensitive items have been stolen. A police investigation is taking place.

Do we know if this is a male or female Mandalorian?
Rebels had Sabine, and with that finale, weren’t she and Ahsoka going off to find Ezra, shortly after the Empire fell in ROTJ?
Just curious as the description of this show says it’s a few years after ROTJ

Do you guys have any info on this show?

The revealed pics don’t look anything like Sabine and her Mandalorian armour but who knows?

Eh.. some drama on the set some goofs stole some cameras, now they will have tighter security.

I don't know much, I never actively looked into it just from the info I know:
- show is rumored to be 10 episodes
- it will cost around 100 mill total
- Jon Favreau is the creator overseen by KK of course
- looking to debut it later in fall of 2019 I'm assuming with the release of their streaming channel
- it will be focused on the 1 guy, the lone gunner type of western in space
- it is rumored that this guy is playing him:
Pedro Pascal
pedropascal1.jpg
- the cowboy hat wearing Dave Filoni (Clone Wars, Rebels animation guy) is expecting to handle the pilot episode as a director, oh this dude has a hard one for Ahsoka and Sabine so maybe some sort of references or something
- they have a bunch of diverse and talented directors doing each at least an episode (asian female that did Jessica Jones, black man that did Dope, fun weirdo that did Thor Ragnorak is also there)
- oh and the redhead chick that runs around Jurassic World with Star Lord is also directing an episode.. maybe the fact her father is Ron Howard (Solo) had some sort of a pull

- this TV show / streaming series how you want to call it is what probably killed the Boba Fett movie

Damn, good stuff bud. I like Howard’s daughter, she needs to be in front of the camera though

She directed a short film that was well appreciated and she did grow up with freaking Ron Howard for a dad she legit might have picked up some skills. :D (still I imagine she will be helicopter parented by Ron and Jon)

Cunty McCuntface confirmed Disney killed the Bobba Fett movie to focus on this upcoming train wreck.

This is not necessarily bad. This could mean that rather than risk a potential box office flop like Solo, they’ll have Fett appear in the show.

I think the Fett movie was one of the good things in the pipeline. James Mangold doesn't screw around.

It's a weird situation. I'm pissed because they cancelled a Boba Fett movie. But I'm happy they did because there stuff lately is garbage.
Have Traviss write the damn movie. Get a director that isn't a dumb fuck sjw. Show a bounty hunter doing bounty hunter things. Profit.

What if Rian Johnson directs (not writes) a couple episodes like he did with Breaking Bad?

I'm not joking. I hate the guy. He's a shit writer. But his TV directing record is solid. The Breaking Bad finale was well made. He's like that guy who directed Thor: The Dark World. Solid at directing episodes of Game of Thrones, shit at hollywood blockbuster films.

While I want to co-sign this, I feel like "GoT all the things" is not a formula that is going to have a lot of legs. Especially since not many people have the budget HBO or Netflix do.

I guess we'll see if this Conan series at Amazon gets off the ground.

Has anyone done a comparison of budgets across networks?

Just the pay of some of the big stars on network television seems to crush the budget of shows like Game of Thrones.

I wonder if they will change the race to something interesting

I’d prefer if he crawled into a hole of shame and never came back.

Going back to directing TV would be a hole of shame for him!

He thought he had a seat at the cool kids table with TLJ! He thought he was gonna be the next James Cameron or something.
