Like he's 100 percent committed to his ideology and has no time for liberals who he believes are half assing it.

He's kinda like a far left version of Taliban or Opus Dei.

Assuming (generously) that he's not a troll of some sort, he's not any more committed to his ideology than anyone else. He would be a true believer in several crazy myths that are going around the nuttier parts of the left:

1. Strength of will is the key to winning policy battles, and thus losing policy battles is proof of a lack of sufficient willpower.
2. America is a far-left nation. The reason people vote for Republicans or don't vote is because Democrats are not fanatically left-wing enough. What's more, Democrats know that but prefer to lose than to move left and win landslides (or maybe they're all being bribed).
3. Contrary to what people who look at objective metrics and read platforms and look at voting records think, Democrats have been moving right for the past 75 years (or whatever--different nutters start the imaginary drift at different points).
4. Every other country already has M4A or something similar.

I think a lot of people hear that stuff and tend to think the people saying it are just bullshitting, but some people probably are legitimately misinformed enough to believe it.
