In my experience very few were vocally opposed to it. Centrist Democrats all seemed to be in favor and only the fringes (Code Pink) raised their voices. Not discounting your experience, that’s just what I remember. Full disclosure: I was primarily a Fox News guy back then.

We probably need to define terms here. Democrats were fairly evenly split and not vocal at all.

Around how old were you at the time? I was mid/late twenties when the war began so remember firsthand how it was.
