Love is the desire to see unnecessary suffering ameliorated
Truth is the handmaiden of love
Dialogue is the pathway to truth
Humility is recognition of personal insufficiency and the willingness to learn through dialog
To learn is to die voluntarily and be born again, in great ways and in small
Speech must remain untrammeled so that dialog can take place
So that we can all humbly learn
So that truth can serve love
So that suffering can be ameliorated
So that all of us can stumble forward to the Kingdom of God
That is all

"Here is an individual who has thought through his purpose in life. He is humble and articulate, aware of the complexity of the problems human beings face simply by our exisiting. He listens. He is up to speed on everything from the ancient mythos to Brett Hart and he knows how they tie together. He engages young adults in his lectures to the extent that they applaud him. Whoever heard of a professor getting applause for a lecture? He is careful, precise, passionate and has managed to lift many people out of emotional chaos and intellectual poverty, myself included. And Linfield banned him from speaking on their campus. Just think about that. Think about the kind of people that must be running that academic establishment. Think what they are denying their students. How are people such as these allowed into positions of authority? How do they justify their actions? It makes me all the happier that we have youtube."

People always say this but it is obviously not true at all. They come out with much more offensive material now and nobody cares. Robert Downey Junior did an entire film in blackface and was applauded for it, while a similar role was done in the 80s and destroyed the actors career.

To be fair, his role was an actor who was using blackface, not just a black guy and the entire film was mocking how you wouldn't admit he was just pretending to be a black guy. I get your point though

He's the only man that I've heard who ever explained religion in a way that makes sense. That alone makes him a great man. At least imo.

I remember taking sociology and thinking ok they just told everyone nothing matters. That was the message of the class. Well then What? That's a dangerous idea to spread and then just wash your hands of the discussion. Well Peterson answers the question. Western thought needs Peterson.

for anyone watching the video i posted, Canadian senate hearings are by far the most boring thing in the universe. I could never sit to watch 3 minutes of it. Here i am first time in my life watching an hour of this. The intelligence difference between Dr Peterson and the Senators is eye opening, i have never seen such a gap in those who hold such high esteemed positions in society.
