Really tough situation. Nate can't exactly slowly set the guy down amid chaos in a street fight and risk getting sniped... And yet I'm worried for the dude whose head fell that far- scary.

• Stay out of dangerous areas, especially big cities which I have little desire to visit any more
• Stay away from late-night scenes with a lot of drunk or drugged-up people and general chaos and wildness going on

Those two rules will do a lot to keep you out of such situations.

For sure! Nate turtled up in defense and almost seemed pissed that the guy wasn’t real and just rushed him and stopped. Almost like “if you’re gonna come at me like that then mean it.” Super glad he walked away as well and hopefully no lawsuits erupt.

The dude that got choked probably had the best possible thing happen to him. He was dumb enough to rush a professional fighter…and he only got choked out. As long as he didn’t hit his head, he’s waking up with a headache and walking away unscathed. He could have had any number of arms or elbows and wrists snapped, no teeth from knees and punches, a broken jaw, and the list goes on and on and on lol

Approaching Anyone's personal space can be a gamble, doing it to a pro fighter screams ignance.
Like Chael said about Wandy inching up to him "Can't let him get close" and pushed him away.
Wonder if this is tied into a buddy of the dude Nate threw the water bottle at earlier?

It kind of just screams someone who has never been in a fight before. At least Wandy was in a fighting stance/posture and looked aggressive with closed fists coming into Sonnen’s space; this dude was the opposite in every way.

I’ve seen it many times, people in street fights unaware they are in a fight just by being close to people fighting.

The ignorance makes them put themselves in a dangerous position and it usually ends poorly.
