To me:
Reported by sources of no authority (or that I never heard of) & allegations with no convictions are not facts.
When you stack the deck against somebody with unverified claims (who is already bad with stuff that can be verified) you just add to their & their fanbase's false narrative of a witch hunt. It just empowers them to their base. IMO
I see where you are coming from. It's true that a lot of what I have posted in this thread is colored by what has been long rumored about him in the kickboxing community for years now. Rumors that have been given weight by on going investigations. But you are right, dispite how much I trust the sources, much of what has been said is still unverified.

It's easy to forget that in the kickboxing subculture, Tate has been a known quantity since 2012. We collectively have found him wanting in our little court of public opinion. For most everyone else he is a guy that just recently popped up on the scene.

Jake Paul would absolutely take this fight.

Nate has everything he looks for in an opponent.

Over the hill.
Significantly smaller.
Once had legit credentials.
Still has a big enough name to make money.
Not a real threat to knock him out.

Check all five.

It's why he'll talk about fighting Tyson but won't actually do it.

Tyson is a legit heavyweight who can put him to sleep with a body punch.

Only checks three boxes.

Kind of sad because if that kid wasn't some rich asshole people would be calling him legit.

He's not top ten in his weight class legit. But I'd put money he could hang with 20-50 guys and probably starch a few. He is physically gifted.

Yeah he is new to me within the past 2 years. Wow, it must be really annoying for you kickboxing fans to see his online pop-culture mainstream success at this level. Did yall see this coming? Hoping he's just a fad that fades away. However with social media people who were normally 15 mins of fame celebrities still maintain a following and revenue after them going viral goes away.

It's probably gonna happen next because people actually wanna see Jake KO Tate (who is having his 1min of fame this year).
That said, give me Tommy Fury vs Andrew Tate. I wanna see John Fury verbally abuse femboy Tate at the press conferences. Those online personalities with their scripted lines usually end up looking really bad when the have to face someone quick witted who can actually talk in real life.

I was trying to watch a stream of this PPV and this was the point I just couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't even watch this garbage for free.

No not at all. I was vaguely aware that he was on social media flaunting "his" wealth and generaly being dick. I only found out with in the last couple months that he had broken in to the mainstream. All the sudden we started getting chumps from the heavies bombarding the kb/ Mt subforum talking about him and making threads about how he could do in the UFC.

I hadn't thought much about him in years and I was frankly shocked that he was getting so much press. I mean he was a good kickboxer, and cracked into the top 10 for a period in 2013 when the division was on the shallow side, but he got crushed by all the other top fighters he faced.

So it wasn't his achievements in the ring that propelled him into the spotlight. The only other thing he had been known for was getting kicked off big Brother for beating up a woman, algations of sexual misconduct, and running cam sites for shady, and probably criminal, enterprises out of Romania. So when I checked out what bullshit he was spouting, was the same incel bullshit that you can find anywhere on 4chan. It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, maybe it's because it's a former fighter? I have no idea.

Bump.

All shitty, stupid, irrelevant, Jake Paul threads are being merged here. We do not need a thread every time Jake Paul tweets or does an interview. If its not a new fight agreement/discussion it will be moved here and/or deleted.

Jake Paul could and might do something at some point ... I mean, he may.

A 39 second wiki search shows Tate's last 7 include winning

Enfusion Live World Light Heavyweight Title -90 kg.

Quality>quantity

1 title win > beating however many retired old guys who competed primarily in a different sport.

Why would a gold medalist and top super middleweight bring the Diaz into camp as sparring partners if they are shitty at boxing.

he always have talked highly of their skills.
They’re buds …..Diaz tough as nails …. Pushes a great pace …..Decent 1-2 ….But overall ….not good at all …. Hope the fight doesn’t happen

Tate will get crushed. His defense is wide open and he greatly depends on kicks, is not that good of a pure boxer. Silva would murk Tate in the boxing ring. Paul is young, improving and full of juice, and getting violently KO'd by Paul is too big a risk for Tate. Don't see him taking the fight tbh, unless his financials are not as good as they say they are.

Tommy fight is the only logical step for Jake atp.

I really don't think he's as rich as he says.
90% of what he says sounds like bs to me.

Don’t get me wrong, when Diaz stepped in short notice to fight Connor I didn’t even blink, easy prediction Diaz was gonna win by stoppage. By MMA standards Diaz is exactly the guy to expose hype jobs, but he was still denied contender through his whole career and that was in MMA. If he ever tries boxing for real with how thinks boxing works he get badly hurt. Jake Paul should definitely take the fight.
