What about him being a 3-time world champion or whatever? I don't follow kickboxing so closely, so feel free to educate me. Were is titles like the kickboxing equivalent of the IBC or WBU or something?

Kickboxing doesn't have a unified rule set. He won 2 of his titles in "full Contact" which is essentially full contact sport karate, it has a pretty shallow talent pool. K-1 rules is the rule set that has the deepest talent pool. The major titles are promotional titles - Glory, One fc, K-1 Japan, being the big dogs on the block.

In K-1 rules he had pretty mixed success. He fought for the it's Showtime title, which was a major belt, in a fight that he got dominated. His most notable feat was winning an Enfusion title, probably the best b- league promotion, but took it from an aging Wendell Roche. Roche was solid, but hardly a divisional great.

Roche the his only notable name on his resume. All the top Ranked fighters he faced either pieced him up or knocked him out.

*When I first made this post I wrote in a way that suggested that Tate's supposed ties to organized crime was proven fact. In fairness these are allegations and not proven fact. I will say that baised on what I have been told and the fact that he is currently under investigation for human trafficking, that I'm inclined believe that there is indeed fire to go along with this smoke.

I think there's a good chance that some of the girls in question are under the age of consent. Can't say that for a fact, but I doubt he is the kind of guy who is terribly concerned about what ages and circumstances are of the girls he's exploited.

Here are a couple pretty recent article's. They're unfortunately bogged down by commentary about his radical political leanings. Back before he became a big social media "influencer", it was easier to get more meat and potatoes articles on this aspect of his life.

The most recent legal debacle dates back to when Romanian authorities raided his home last April. The investigators were informed that an American woman was being held against her will. The case is apparently still on going but it seems like the woman in this particular case was a 21 year old American. The investigators were looking into potential sexual assault and human trafficking charges. It's unclear whether anything will come from it considering the country we're looking at here.

Tate himself said "probably 40 percent" of why he moved to Romania was due to how little they investigate sexual assault. Even if you're giving him the benefit of the doubt and accept the excuse that he was joking, it's show that he is in a pretty disturbed head space.

Same here. Though I have seen him hit on an underage girl that was highly attractive but that's not illegal. He did a recent livestream video chat with Clix on YouTube and his girlfriend was there sitting next to him. At one point Tate even suggested that he might have to go over there and kiss her like a "real man" if her boyfriend didn't. He may very well be a sexual predator but there's currently nothing concrete out there to support it to my knowledge.

This fight has to happen. As cringe as this altercation was, it effectively sealed Tommy as Jake's next opponent. The guy Tommy fought was very good, certainly much better than anyone Jake fought, and tho an exhibition I thought Tommy won. Both Jake and Tommy have got a lot better over the past few years, are the same size, age, weight and it is the only logical next step. Thats not what I'm saying.... I'm not into conflating or making large jumps just because I don't like somebody. But you are entitled to your speculation and broad leaps. He's bad enough on his own merit for me not to have to look at unconfirmed allegations and put the evils of a whole crime syndicate all on him.

I don't think that fair. I am suggesting that the many of allegations hurled at him are likely based in fact. I'm not suggesting that he is the master mind of a major criminal enterprise, but that what has been reported suggests that he is likely connected to some elements of organized crime.

To me:
Reported by sources of no authority (or that I never heard of) & allegations with no convictions are not facts.
When you stack the deck against somebody with unverified claims (who is already bad with stuff that can be verified) you just add to their & their fanbase's false narrative of a witch hunt. It just empowers them to their base. IMO
