Do idiots not realize he has no amateur background. Why do most boxers box 30 cans but he has to box a “real boxer” a few fights in. Dude knocked out a ufc champion stiff that no one else could do to Tyron.

I tend to agree w/ you on Paul the kid has solid talent despite lack of in ring experience against "real boxers" he's got God given pop the punch he ko'd Tryon w/ was a clever and brutal shot.

That being said I don't know if I agree w/ the ko'ing Tyron noone else could do, b/c of that Ninja shit Marquardt caught him with like a decade ago was pretty badass altho not one hitter like Jakes, admittedly.

He's a legit boxer. Been boxing his whole life. Only one loss and is a heavyweight. His dad is a well known HW boxer. Comes from a boxing family so this is a very legit fight that doesn't favor Jake Paul. Go watch his sparring sessions from the dog house at Mayweather's gym and watch a couple of his fights - Jake Paul is the underdog here.

In fairness he is ranked about 230th or something in his weight class.

I’m pretty sure Woodley is still a top 15-20 guy at the least in MMA in his weight class. But that shows more of the difference in depth of the sports than anything.

Either way it’s legit.

People might watch the fight but he’s under contract with showtime, they’re not shelling out $200 million, I doubt any other promoter would either. Maybe if he promotes it himself I guess.

Boxing is different and many mma fighters wouldn't be ranked in boxing at all and struggle to get wins even at the lower levels. Only the ones with good boxing could, but you see a lot of decent mma strikers get worked when they try pure boxing after their mma careers. The talent pool is deep in boxing starting from amateurs. Unless you are really skilled it's hard to overcome that coming from mma, especially if you don't train with actual boxers and boxing trainers, and if you don't train like boxers train.

At Jake's Paul current level this is a big step up. Askren and Woodley would never get far in pure boxing and those fights Jake Paul was the favorite for a reason. It's different for this fight, Jake Paul could very well lose this fight.
