I was watching independence day and got to thinking how embarrassing the human species is. The majority of humans are religious and believe in some straight foolishness when it comes to death and the origins of life. We can't get along and are always fucking shit up. We can't coexist on this planet with out polluting it and making life for every other form of life worse off than if we didn't exist...strait up embarrassing.

I would legit be embarrassed trying to explain our species to another advanced life form and would probably lie to them. Chance are they would think we were a virus to the planet and try to kill us.

Meh. There's beauty in our species as well as ugliness. The way people pull together during times of crisis, folks donating their time to charities, and unselfish acts in general just don't get the attention they deserve. We tend to focus too much on the negative imo.
