Looked like Team Dricus's only plan last night was banking on Khamzat tiring.

He's a good athlete, so it'd be good for him to go to a proper team like out in Vegas or ATT. Though it might be late.

They always said he did judo and wrestling from childhood. I guess South African level lol. Like Rob Whitaker apparently training with the Aussie Olympic Wrestling team.

He submitted your entire team. GTFO with your "south african level lol"

I had expected Dricus to be training his TDD the whole camp, and likely prior to the fight even being signed since he knew Khamzat was next. I was wrong. He was going for guillotines rather than trying to stop the takedown altogether.

No. Their game plan was to "f*ck him up in his own game."

And it backfired. DDP's coach had no clue.

He has 0 wrestling knowledge. First shot Dricus took and he'd have given up the back.

Poor DDP needs to bring his brick shithouse Afrikan genetics to the USA or at least the UK.

I said this in another thread that it seemed like he only drilled defending chokes and was banking on Khamzat gassing out to deal with the wrestling.

I think Morne Visser got influenced by all the fan talk and "experts" saying Chimaev will always aim to finish quickly,
and in looking to do so will likely spend all his energy - so if they drill sub defence and meet Khamzat at the centre
instead of keeping a distance to avoid his shots, then they would win the last 3 rounds guaranteed.

That's why they were so calm in his corner in the first two breaks. Acting like everything went according to the plan,
and only giving Dricus the advice to not get crucifixed on the ground.
