Anyone running Dem, would've smashed the republicans after Bush. It's basically what you're seeing with Trump now, only I'd argue that it wasn't entirely Obama's fault. It was his(and by relation Hillary's) supporters annoying people to death, and the internet exposing Hillary Clinton as a fraud. Combined with Trump's message of course.

The same establishment that is pushing political correctness, globalization, LGBT "pride" and multiculturalism at the expense of reduced freedom of expression, increased inequality, job loss and eroded border security. In essence, the political, corporate and media elites dismissed blue collar workers and rural Americans' concerns for years, portraying them as nothing more than angry white men who are racists and misogynists. These people are disappointed in the system, which they perceived is screwing them. They held their tongue because of the fear of being labelled as some fringe lunatic by the left, but Trump's candidacy gave them an outlet for their anger.

If you're getting called racist and a misogynist, you aren't exactly helping your case by voting for the guy spreading racist and misogynistic rhetoric.

Not that I buy your reasoning. She was just an unappealing candidate period. A good chunk of the left didn't show up to vote.
