Never watched There Will Be Blood. I've seen Hateful 8 at least 4 times.

There Will Be Blood is the better film. I find Hateful Eight more rewatchable.

No Country For Old Men is a great movie. TWBB is nowhere near the same class.

There Will be Blood is a cinematic masterpiece, bordering on a slow burn thriller or psychological expose into the inner workings of man and greed.

The Hateful Eight is an dark comedy action romp with ultra violence.

Both are great movies but not even similar in genre or style.

DDL has the best performance, but if you asked me which one I wanted to re-watch tonight, it would be the Hateful Eight.

H8 isn't bad, but it ends up feeling like a poor man's Django or Basterds. And it's entirely too long, for a story that takes place almost entirely in a single room. I feel like Tarantino would have been well-advised to get it down to about 100 minutes, w/ no filler.

TWWB is a great film, technically, but doesn't lend itself well to rewatch IMO.

Given how fundamentally different the movies are, it's really apples and oranges IMO. That said, TWWB is the better piece of art.

Just watched Hateful 8 the other night on Netflix. Loved it. Was anything lost when they made it episodic for Netflix?

Hateful Eight has a lot of unecessary dialogue and is cartoonish.

There Will Be Blood looks like a piece of art in every scene, like you're in a museum. Dialogue is as good as it gets and the acting is top notch, especially from Day-Lewis. It's a perfectly made movie.
