The GSP fight is the only option Dana has to keep Khabib

Probably will sell and make a good legacy fight for Khabib, but they could just as easy throw Khabib in with Silva. GSP loses any fight after this layoff. Its a give me for Khabib basically.
 
I look at GSP vs Khabib and I don't know who is going to win, I look at Khabib vs Usman and I think Usman takes it. I would rather watch the one that leaves me unsure.
 
It's the perfect time to do it. Both Khabib and GSP have accomplished everything they wanted in their respective divisions, and are now in pure superfight mode - having them fight won't mess up any division rankings or anything. Winner gets Connor for the superfight championship, and the winner of that gets to fight Brock Lesnar on a party boat in international waters
 
I would bet money on GSP over Khabib, even at 40 YO.

Not because I hate on Khabib or anything, I got him in the top 5 best fighter ever.

However, I have GSP at #1, and if the most cerebral fighter ever think he has a way to defeat Khabib, how can we argue with him?

Let's be realistic that is the only Dana can goad Khabib back for one more fight. A legendary matchup with his idol, at the only moment where it will still be possible.

No. Oliveira will lure Khabib out of retirement with a title and a defense or 2 under his belt. That's how you get Khabib to come back.

Have a fight library probably worth more than $100,000.

I have forgotten more about combat sports than you will ever possibly fathom.

Just so we're clear as to who-is-who.
 
I don't think he should to move up considering there's still contenders he could still beat at LW and hasn't broken the title defense record at LW but If Khabib truly wanted a challenge he could just move up to WW. He should fight to 30-0 and retire, sets a new defense record & achieves his fathers wish. The GSP fighth is not happening, he is nearly 40 years old, leave him alone.

Oliveira will never be a multi time defending champ.
 
No way Dana will make Khabib vs GSP because they will both retire after this fight and there is nothing in it for the organization. Also, I don’t think Khabib vs GSP will sell enough PPV’s to make it worth for the UFC (it won’t sell over 2 mil PPV’s).

If Dana will be able to persuade Khabib for one more fight, it will be a rematch with Conor. It’s the only fight that UFC wants because Khabib vs McGregor 2 will sell even more than their first fight - probably close to 3 million PPV’s or even more (UFC is a lot more popular since being broadcasted on ESPN). Lots of people that never bought UFC ever before would buy PPV for Khabib vs McGregor 2.

With all being said, realistically, a rematch against McGregor is the only fight UFC would offer to Khabib. The biggest challenge is if Dana can offer to Khabib something attractive. Khabib won’t be sold with a paycheck so they would have to get creative. I can see something like partnership with Khabib’s MMA promotion and possibly better terms for Khabib’s teammates and cousins. Maybe a promise to push Makhachev to the top of the division as well?

khabib gsp and the dana know he never fight khabib. people need to let gsp go.

if dana could get gsp to stop duckking khabib than we can finally see it but it not gone happen
