maybe it is the old negotiating tactic, dont show ur interested in something you want ?I don’t think Khabib returns even for that fight anymore. He was asked point blank a day ago if anything could bring him back, and he said only Ali. Who is obviously dead.
yeah because he was so huge compared to his last opponents, he looked like a HW !He should fight at his real weight class at 170 next, and actually test himself against elite wrestlers
This. GSP has already secured his legacy. He has nothing to prove to anyone by fighting down a weight class. Khabib, on the hand, does a lot more for his legacy by potentially beating a GOAT at the GOAT's own division.the fight makes sense at 170 tbh
iirc, Khabib has stated he'd only fight GSP at LW 155 lbsthe fight makes sense at 170 tbh
Gotta add to the list from a ppv stand point
Fedor vs Couture
Fedor vs Lesnar
iirc, Khabib has stated he'd only fight GSP at LW 155 lbs
basically that's it. Checking if Khabib can beat GSP is enough, we don't need to know if GSP can make 155, and there is no need for a belt involved.This. GSP has already secured his legacy. In other words, if GSP loses to Khabib at 155, the built in excuse is that the cut was too much for a fighter his age. If Khabib beats GSP at 170lbs? That GREATLY adds to his legend.
if he really wants the fight he will give in. He is at his prime and he is calling out a guy almost 40, who hasn't fought in many years and on top of that on a weight class he never fought? come on, wouldn't blame GSP for refusing that.iirc, Khabib has stated he'd only fight GSP at LW 155 lbs

From his last interview Khabib clearly said that he's not motivated to come back because he's already beaten all the top guys (Conor, Dustin, Gaethje) and no matchup excites him. I understand that at this point with the way he ran trough his opponents he would like something more challenging. Don't even mention Tony (2 fight skid), and Do Bronx is great but just had his breakthrough year so he's not well established in the top 3 yet.
Here comes the elephant in the room : the GSP fight. Khabib has stopped talking about this fight, Dana has stopped talking about this fight and GSP too. GSP looks in phenomenal shape for a 39 year old in his recent insta pics and he's water fasting often which leads me to think he's maybe - maybe - testing his ability to make 155.
Let's be realistic that is the only Dana can goad Khabib back for one more fight. A legendary matchup with his idol, at the only moment where it will still be possible.
I hope it happens, Khabib vs GSP, April 2020, the GOATiest fight ever. Let me dream bro.
It is the fight his dad wanted. Why would this fight be intriguing for Khabib? Or for the fans?
If Khabib were to win it wouldn’t do shit for his legacy. GSP is far from his prime and is not a LW.
if Khabib wanted one more for 30-0 and to cement his legacy- why not fight Usman at WW? Now that is an intriguing matchup.
I didn’t know that. I can see why it would be a fight that Khabib would want then.It is the fight his dad wanted.
Khabib's dad always wanted GSP to be his final fight.I didn’t know that. I can see why it would be a fight that Khabib would want then.
I still am not interested and don’t see what it would possibly do for Khabib’s legacy.
For GSP it’s a no risk fight. He should lose. So, if he were to somehow pull it off, it would be absolutely epic and leave zero doubt that he is the GOAT.
I get it. I understood you the first time.Khabib's dad always wanted GSP to be his final fight.
Usman is less popular and actually beats himWhy would this fight be intriguing for Khabib? Or for the fans?
