Just finished watching it. Fantastic horror movie set during Christmas, medieval times.

The Green Knight challenges King Arthur to pick among his round table, the most powerful knight, to fight him now, and the Christmas the year later.

King Arthur must send his champion to the Green Chapel and ultimately best the Green Knight, where in his journey, he will fight thieves, ghosts, giants and a genius Fox.

Honestly I assumed it was some woke ass medieval /Arthur movie n never bothered with it. You're saying it's good?

I looked it up and understood immediately why such a thread would hit the war room.

I also checked Prime and it indicates I have already seen it, yet I remember nothing about it.<NotListening>
Were you drunk and high because it has happened to me

Ever since The Green Lantern, i have vowed to stay away from anything with "The Green" in the title. With the exception of The Green Mile which was an excellent movie.

It was interesting. Slow burn, but they wrapped it up well at the end.

If you're familiar with the myth it's based on, it was a bit jarring because the protagonist makes different choices at every step. The changes didn't really make sense until the end.

Protagonist is a bit of bitch so it's an inverted version of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight where he finds honor at the end of the journey instead of carrying it with him through the narrative.

If you mean the lead characters race he's shown as being Morgana's son and she's shown as a Romani sorceress, besides that it is obviously a fantasy and race is never mentioned.

Personally I thought this was much better than The Northman, Eggers obcession with just telling the legend as it was ends up with a bit of a bland film for me were as this does feel like more than a museum piece.

Bare in mind its a fairly obtuse atmospheric arthouse film though not some easy to consume blockbuster.

Found it intriguing. Not sure I understood it at all, but liked the atmosphere.

Fuck, I give that movie 8 thumbs down.

Worst sherbro recommendation ever, TS!

I watched it in theaters when it came out. I had high hopes for it because the trailer looked really good. But, I was disappointed after watching it. To me the story wasn't that great, and it was a weird movie, but not weird in a good way. And it was boring at times. I personally don't classify it as a horror movie.
