why do conor fans keep referring to mayweather as the greatest boxer ever? if they said one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time they might be a lot closer to the truth. acting like he is the undisputed holder of the title "greatest boxer ever" just shows how little the average mcgregor fan knows about boxing. the dude is a wizard but he's not really a great puncher. i wouldn't favour him over hearns, robinson, duran or several great fighters. the reality is any decent puncher would absolutely crush conor. the talk about him fighting canelo or ggg was hilarious. i notice he was never dumb enough to mention their names as possible opponents, but his fans sure were.

Well, he is to me, and i ain't no Conor fan. 50-0, plenty of wins against great boxers, amazing skillset. Even if he is not the greatest puncher, he still beats his opponents, and at the end of the day, that's what matters. There's no official GOAT. It's all a matter of opinions and personal judging criteria. You can absolutely make a case for him being the GOAT, and just like you can criticize certain aspects of his career and fighting style, you can do the same with every other boxer that has ever lived. There is no one out there that retired undefeated against elite competition and was great at everything.

That being said, Conor faced the worst possible version of one of the best of all time. We never got to see Conor actually facing the GOAT. He just faced a retired boxer that apparently was still skilled enough to destroy him, even with little training.

i was kind of referring to how people claim that conor went nine rounds with the greatest ever, when it really doesn't mean a great deal. it's kinda like claiming greatness for going the distance with willy pep.
