Roy Jones is probably my favorite boxer of all time, and almost every highlight and tribute dedicated to him on youtube are great collections of footage, but Jesus Christ will someone please make one that doesn't use THAT song.

Roy had tremendous athleticism to be sure, but to say that it was anything more than simply one facet of his enormously technical, intelligent game is fallacious. Take away the speed and you still had the tremendous ability to control range and cut off the ring, some of the most deceitful techniques for landing punches ever, world-class punch selection, awesome power, great work rate...

RJJ in his prime was the best offensive strategist in boxing history IMHO. The complete opposite of Mayweather Jr.

how is that post directed at you ? how is saying that only people who don't know shit about boxing would rank tyson over jones a jab at you ? jones was not even mentioned in the other thread....

not only you didn't smack anyone around in the other thread ( or anywhere, ever...) , but saying that i'm bitter because of it is absolutely laughable. the trivial conversations i have here don't come close to trigger that sort of emotions in real life .

sometimes you can emit a very detestable vibe , i wonder if you're like this in real life.... must be fun being around you.

a lesson on handling a discussion , and growing up ..... from you ?

if you can't continue a civil discussion that started in a good atmosphere without running around to a completly different thread ,provoking the other person , trolling for a reaction , and declaring yourself the winner of an ongoing debate that takes place in another thread ....then discussing with you will become very tiresome.

yet strangely , in the actual thread where the discussion took place, there is no inuslts, no name calling ,nothing. just a slightly condescending tone from you.

my reaction here was directed at your chilidish remarks . how you declared yourself the winner of the argument, and remarked that you " smacked me " around when my post was not even direcred at you .
it wasn't a joke, clearly in your little fantasy world , you believed that i was so butthurt that i came here to vent my frsutration and take a jab at you , when in reality you didn't come close to winning the argument yourself.

arguments such as " holmes is holmes " and numerous rationalizations on how beating someone coming off two losses and a two years lay off is comparable to beating the reigning heavyweight champion are hardly arguments that'll get me " mad " or butthurt .

Sure it is.

Your argument was that Tyson was bigger than Marciano so its unfair to compare them. I think thats a shit argument but I didn't say that. I just added my own argument.

I then made a post that seemed obviously light hearted and then you started quetioning intelligence. Sorry, I didn't realize you had taken it personally. I'll keep that in mind next time you make some bullshit argument.

jones no question. mayweather is very good at a counter right but as for lead right hands, jones may be the king

I didn't even notice you'd said anything. Nothing was directed at you. I also consider Tyson a great HW, but you know, he WAS bigger than Marciano so he actually sucked.
