NFL The Great Aaron Rodgers

4 time NFL MVP.

Top 4 or higher in every QB stat that matters.

Obvious Hall of Famer and joins Brady, Montana and Peyton on that NFL QB Mount Rushmore

Anyone disagree?
Elway was better.
Probably brady, montana, elway, mahommes.
You can use stats to say Sam Bradford was a more accurate passer than montana. Rule changes have screwed up stats in general. Can't really do that.
Rodgers frequently choked during playoff games and tended to play ultra safe rather than risk an arm punt int or big play and would hit swing passes for 4 yards. His team was frequently loaded at wrs even though causal fans s
Point out the lack of first round wrs taken but ignore all the 2-4th rounders they kept drafting.
In short, he was insanely talented but lacked that killer instinct that brady, montana, mahommes and elway had

I;'m about to leave to watch the ND vs Pitt game, I'll be back later to debate Elway vs Rodgers. If ever a QB was over rated it;s John Elway.

Later, Adios~~~~~~~~~~

Yeah. But does he have more Pro Bowls than Russell Wilson.

You've got to remember for about half his career there was no actual salary cap and he was carrying mostly scrubs up the mountain. Once the cap was finally enforced he won.
Jim kelly had the same issues. Elway did so much with his feet, off the field with players getting free agents it really sealed it for me.
Brady copied alot of elway stuff off the field.

First thing is unlike some here I don't need everyone to agree with me and I won;t be calling anyone names if they don;t,

Ok my friend sell me on Elway being better than Aaron Rodgers,

That argument doesn't really work here because you can also evaluate quarterbacks relative to their peers. Elway was less impressive in terms of his accuracy-- and pretty much every other metric-- relative to his peers than Rodgers is statistically compared to his peers.

Also, no, Bradford has a lower career completion percentage than Montana. I'm willing to bet if today's advanced statistics were available for Montana, like CPOE, this gap would widen considerably despite that Joe played in an era with lower marks across most passing stats.

Without gettig into the numbers, the MVP; stats, The simple eye ball test works for me. i saw both in their NCAA days and all of their careers, in my opinion and what I witnessed Rodgers was without question the superior QB. As you alluded to.

Okay so it started off with stats to justify it
I said stats are kind of subjective based on the era and I could "prove" using certain stats sam Bradford was "more accurate" than Joe Montana, and generally it was a mixture of careers and winning big games

Then the people I was arguing with
Argued stats aren't important because every era is different and it's got to am eyeball test based off careers and winning big games

I feel like I'm being trolled. Elway constantly carried his teams to wins and owls based off his off the field, feet and doing little things like arm punting/big play risk
And
Rodgers was constantly being carried to wins, frequently choked in big games and even when he got frequently injured the back up put up huge numbers

That's my point. Rodgers had a juggs machine arm and a big brain but lacked a killer instinct and testicles. Brady, Montana, elway mahommes take over games even oit of head coaches hands to win.

And mvps generally mean jack shit to me post 2001. It's a meme award usually giving to the QB with "the best stats" which usually never include fumbles for QBs which are terrible see Andrew luck generating 1.5 turn overs per game almost always resulting in terrible field position for the defense because it was a retard fumble, leading him to play hero ball to dig his own dick out of his own ass and people acting like he was good as he filled up his own hole he dug with his own fumble resulting in garbage time yards against prevent defenses

So. No. Rodgers isn't top 10 or close. Even for the last 40 years.

I do repect everyones opinion if I buy they put in the time and did the work. Obviously you are a serious fan, cool.

Ok....

I saw both guys play thier entire career, when I watched Rodgers I was seeing a far superior QB than John Elway, and all this below proves that out....

More pro bowls
More MVP
his comp%, 4000 yard seasons, TD/INT ratio, passer rating are all DRAMATICALLY superior

Example

Elway career comp% 56.9 Robgers 65,2
Elway had 1 4000 passing yard season Rodgers 10
Elway never had a 30 passing td season, Rodgers 7 and some over 40
Elway never had a 100 paser rating seaon, Rodgers 10 of them
Elways career paser rating 79.9 Rodgers 102.5

Lets stop right here......Elway 79.9 to Rodgers 102.5...........WOW~~~~~~

Elway had 300 passing TD and 226 INT, Rodgers 521 ovr 123, let that sink in.

Keep in mind I saw both play many times, so this isn;t some kid running hs mouth. Aaron Rodgers is what all those gaudy numbers tell us he was, that being among the top 4ish QB's to ever play the game and FAR better than John Elway who doesn't make my top 10 list.

I challenge you to find anywhere talking the great QB;s that has Elway over Rodgers,

Just one of many

Rodgers sucked in the clutch still does
Stats not going to work
Rodgers mvps are bullshit

Like I mentioned above show me a place talking the great NFL QB;s that has Elway ranked higher than Rodgers.

You don't ignore the numbers no more than run a race and not time it, Yes stats do matter, and in this comparison it;s not close, think bug vs windshield,

Yes Eway was a great QB, but Rodgers is a Mout Rushmore candidate, he is on a totally higher wrung on the ladder.

I mentioned seeing both play many times, trust me I know what to look at, Rodgers was more accurate he threw guys open he has a better grasp of how to move his offense,. There is no doubt at all that Rodgers is an all timer among the al timers while Elway isn't.

A 4 time MVP, he is number 4 on the al time TD list he is number 1 TD/INT ratio he is number 2 all time passer rating, you don't........ah hell fuck all that he sucks.

But, love your loyalty tp your beliefs, and like dealing with those with some depth of knowledge.
