The Democrats are largely wimps, and get browbeat into lots of stuff.

The Republicans are super organized.

Democrats get themselves suckered into pointless culture war fights they can’t win, constantly. Most of the hills they’ve chosen to die on simply don’t matter, and they’ve enabled the maga movement ruin the country as a result.

Truth is, the democrat party isn’t looking for real change either. Sure there’s outliers but most of them want to profit off the status quo just as much as their colleagues on the right.

Republicans are playing the game so much better. Their agenda is so incredibly bad for the country and should make any constitution loving American angry, but they e managed to get a huge part of the population to vote against their own best interests. It’s fascinating and frustrating to watch this retarded dance.

I'll go first:
Trump thinks that the stock market is a measure of the economy. The truth is that the well being of Wall Street is not the same as it is for main Street. Trump's vision is distorted towards rich people. In the past this was known as the trickle down effect. And, he is using his advantage as President to make a lot of money, with crypto specifically. He has insider knowledge and he and his family use this to serve themselves.

My net worth is tied to the stock market. Invest 5 or 10 dollars a day as a poor and you will escape poorness. Compound that shit and you will have swings in a day that are years worth of wages in your 30 or 40s.


Losing 20k in day sucks. Having enough invested to lose that much does not.

Invest hard when young. Then keep doing that. Then you can be white trash that makes it to middle class.

I'm a bit in a tiff regarding the democrats, as I have been since 2016 when our last actual leader left it up to the party.

We're too divided, which has been obvious for awhile now. You have the the younger, more socialist group. The AOCs, Mamdanis, etc. Then you have the "moderate" side which has kept the party going since the 80s. The Pelosis, Schumers, etc.

I typically side with the moderates, because it's what got a zombie like Biden elected. But it's become clear that we need a bit of gumption and passion. The problem is that this shutdown has shown how one side is allowed to be hateful, while the other is going to be forced to compromise so that millions don't starve.

The Trump administration's covid policies were idiotic and horrific.

If you got covid, the survival rate was 99.95%. The 0.05% were elderly or had other serious health issues.

Why did Trump shut down the entire country except for large stores like Wal-Mart and Target plus liquor stores? Meanwhile, small businesses, schools, churches etc. were closed up.

Then you have the masks. The average size of the openings in a typical mask are 80 microns. A flu is 6 microns. Can a chain link fence stop flies from your neighbor's yard from getting into yours?

Then you have the vaccines. They didn't stop you from getting covid or stop you from spreading it. But there were all kinds of serious negative side effects.

the republicans are much better at campaigning and will do whatever they have to to win, ala redistricting gerrymandering, trolling, or lying that there were rigged elections to the point they stormed the capitol They will bring a howitzer to a gun fight and mobilize their base effectively. They are much more tactical and organized in their messaging, which you can see clearly when they all use the same phrases, practically word for word. They keep their party in line, ala the quick reversals after Jan 6th and the recent Epstein victims testimony. their media uses fear to motivate very effectively versus the whiny nagging of left wing media

the democrats are terrible at campaigning and have allowed themselves to look weak on issues like the border while fighting tangential fights on niche issues. If the democrats were any good at messaging, taking away food and healthcare from the poor while running crypto scams, dictator like military parades, and building golden ball rooms would be something that would piss off most americans, because most americans, republican and democrat, don't want their neighbors going hungry or dying of preventable diseases.

I agree with most of this. The last is a bit of nonsense. Vaccinated people got much less sick and the "all kinds of negative side effects" is an idiotic take. All vaccines have side-effects. And the reason they kept liquor stores open is for alcoholics. And it wasn't to be nice to them. It was to keep them out of the ER with withdrawals.
