Crime The Gabby Petito case.

police absolutely handle the disappearances of POC differently. when Srikanth Rayadurgam went missing in new zealand, they literally redirected a search team en route to look for him to go search for a missing little white girl instead.

Great sources bro. Everything I google on that name showed the police searched for him extensively.

Hmm, I hear you. While I'm sure that type of person may exist in a number of people, I wouldn't feel confident to say to what degree..

I think the feeling of a personal attack has more to do with a feeling of attacking their values and world view, not so much race. I think many people identify more with being a man, or being an American, or certain time periods where "things were good". I think that that guides them more than anything for the most part. White people don't typically have to think about their race as much in their daily life, so I think they may lack some empathy on understanding why minorities do.
I don't think most of them think they are inherently better, they just think that the only thing holding people back is themselves, and that race has nothing to do with it. Going against that narrative can diminish their own work/accomplishments.

I think you're vastly underestimating the importance of whiteness in American society. It's a currency that has real value. An example of this is the central park Karen last year, she deliberately played the white damsel in distress in her 911 call and said she was being attacked by a black guy, because she knows it has currency. A couple of years back there was a twitter thread of white people talking about all the things cops let them get away with when they were younger, it was absolutely incredible. Things that would land 99.9% of black youth in jail without question, and maybe get some of them killed. Drunk driving, marijuana use, assault, theft, etc.

Another example, why is Trump so popular across the spectrum of white society? Poor whites, middle class whites, rich whites. Trump has no discernible policy that ties all these groups together, *except* immigration. And they're willing to sacrifice every other value, whether thats respect for military, respect for police, democracy, religion, whatever. as long as Trump stands up for their most important value, being white.

Whats the story there? This started as one person missing, and ended up into a murder with another person missing. Remember when Walt Harris's daughter was missing? It was all over the news and facebook, because it was a MISSING persons case. Walt Harris isn't even close to being a big celebrity, but it was a story the media could run with.

The point is not that EVERY white girl that ever goes missing gets covered, and ZERO black girls get covered.
We're talking about averages.
My example is a pretty good example of what I'm talking about. It's not apples to apples because she wasn't missing as long. (just the weekend i think) But the point is, is that considering her following, and the craziness of that story, it's a bit nuts how little coverage it got in comparison.
We often don't see a lot of media attention on people of different races unless it feeds into certain narratives....like gun or gang violence.

The UFC is huge. If he wasn't in the UFC, his daughter wouldn't of gotten the media coverage it got. Not to mention, I believe he trained at Jacksons, so he had guys like Jon Jones tweeting about it.
It would've gotten far less attention if he was in Bellator or ONE, if it was covered at all.

Link me a missing report of an African American female that went underreported that had an actual story to it besides said person is missing. Please make sure this woman isn't involved in drugs or prostitution as well. Do you think Janea's murder would have more of a story if the murderer was white?

I just dont understand why the police failed to arrest Gabby's boyfriend as soon he came back home while driving in her own van?

Shouldn't have that raised red flags?

It's not that I don't think that it matters at all to them. I think that whiteness for a lot of people is more of a reaction than being their core identity, as in what drives their world view. I don't think they consciously think about it as much as minorities, and that when they do, it's often in reaction to something a minority says or does.
Obviously, the white nationalist/the jews will not replace us/etc guys exist. I'm not denying that. I'm just saying that I think in general a lot of these guys don't seem to put a lot of thought into things that don't effect them, and race is one of those things that doesn't really effect them....until now, when they react to terms like 'white privilege' or white supremacy, US history, etc.

You made all true and valid points. I don't dispute any of that. I think we may just disagree a bit on percentages, but I get where you're coming from.

I can understand why he wasn't arrested or charged with anything at first, yes. But the fact they didn't know where he was at when they went to the house is mind blowing. They spent over a week thinking he was cooped up in his parents house when he was even there. They should have also instantly got search warrants for the house and cell phone records. No idea how they fucked those two things up so hard knowing they had a gigantic microscope looking at them.

Dude you are batshit crazy. Trump has plenty of minorities that support him, what does that say about your theory? I don't know a single "white" person that has gotten away with driving drunk, stealing, smoking weed, assaulting anyone, for being white. That is 100% bullshit. Now if they had money or was a prominent family? Sure. But that isnt race specific. Look up Bianca Devins and tell me why her story wasn't plastered all over the media?

Which begs the question did the family had help from the outside? i dont think the boyfriend acted alone here. Even anyone should know anything its the lawyer of the family of the boyfriend and the boyfriend family.

No one can flee the police or news media while they were in their community/street how he managed to flee i am surprised.

Ha!

The funny thing is this black girl is absolutely stunning. She's a million times hotter than Gabby Petito (no disrespect, RIP to both of them). And she has a bigger social media following to boot.

You can't prove a counter factual, but I'm confident that if she were white it would be wall to wall news coverage.

Exactly.
Huge following, mentions from 'Bow Wow', and Cardi B, and I haven't seen it in the media.
It happened in the same month as well.

Your logic is off. The examples i gave doesn't mean every single white person gets that sort of treatment, but it's almost impossible to find minorities that receive that kind of preferential treatment. The minorities that support Trump aren't "a lot", and they support him for different reasons. That doesn't mean his support amongst whites doesn't primarily stem from the fact that he's a symbol of their place in society, that he will put *them* first.

Shad Moss, also known as Bow Wow, commented on Gagnier's latest Instagram post, writing, "Stop playing we just spoke on thurs dont do me like this yo! Naaa." Seems like Bow Wow really cared.

The fact you equate America first to "white" first is mind blowing and kind of bizarre/scary.

???
What's your point here?
He had a pretty cringe written instagram response to it...and he's a pretty cringe guy, so it's not surprising he didn't have something more elegant to say.

It is pretty crazy that a population that was held in slavery for centuries and denied the ability to accumulate wealth between generations till the end of the 1900s is still between 10-15x less wealthy than the average white family.

I wonder how that happened.
