Crime The Gabby Petito case.

SC, not NC, but yeah that is bonkers. Just keeps getting weirder.

When I first read it around a week ago i just glanced over the article but was under the impression his wife and son died of a tragedy and he was in rehab stealing money from his job and decided to end it all for his last kid to have money. But now I'm under the impression maybe he is the one behind it all?? He had a nanny die from a "fall" in his house? He ran over someone with a boat while drunk? someone got ran over and killed outside his house? Wouldnt want to be the one investigating that mess thats for sure.

I doubt he has anything to do with his wife and son’s murders but you never know. Read this article about him trying to frame someone else in the boat when the girl was killed to save his son.

Ya’ll keep blaming the media for pushing this story, but I would like to point out it’s a two way street. There is huge demand for this story. If you were running a media site or murder/mystery YouTube channel, you would be foolish not to cover this story. It’s a gold mine.

Maybe those others stories are not getting enough coverage because people just don’t care. You can only fault the media for people’s apathy so much.

You are making too much sense, stop it. It’s obviously just racism..

edit: on a side note I see some missing kids gaining traction. One was from SC and turns out the girl was found dead the next day... sheesh that’s rough.

She wasn’t really an influencer of any note, let’s not pretend she was important, she wasn’t. And the police video came out well after she got attention.

its hilarious how defensive white people get about the basic fact that white victims get more media attention. That’s an objective fact, stop being so damn sensitive.
its a double edged sword though. pretty white girl goes missing? huge story!

then on the flip side. the only time the news ever cares about a hate crime, a racist attack, police brutality, mass shooter, serial killer, etc is when the perpetrator is a white man.

the media knows what sells. and right now there is no better villain than the evil racist white man! watch out, they're every where!

Presumably, you've been at least a mid-range parent with regard to guidance, homelife, and so on. You love your boy down to your core. You've also presumably had a chance to get to know and love his fiance over the time that they've been together. They decide to go on a long trip together. You likely have reservations about the length of it, but, young love!

Your son arrives home under shady circumstances and his fiance is MIA. It's seeming more and more likely that something awful has happened. What do you do? Do you shelter him and help escape at all costs? Do you encourage him to turn himself in and let justice do its thing? How do you react?

Told my kids they get one bailout and it better not be for murder, theft or sexual deviance.

Those are my conditions, so that boy would have had to eat this one.

I would have told him to go to the cops for sure. Especially if it was an accident. If you are not guilty you shouldn't be hiding. I know cops can be very pushy during interrogation. But it's worth taking that risk imo. Instead of being a suspect all your life trying to run away. Just face the music and hope for the best.

And you usually get caught anyways, eventually.

Would have consulted a lawyer and had a deep talk with him about getting out in front of this right now. Shut your mouth, and listen to the lawyer. Best case scenario he ends up with manslaughter 5-10 years and out in 3-4. Worst case 25 and he has his books paid in prison. You can’t run away from shit like that no matter how much you want.

I'd like to think I wouldn't help him escape and would encourage him to turn himself in, but love for one's child is a powerful thing.

are we really buying into this soap opera crap the propaganda media has decided to push on us when the globe is amid an 18 month long crisis?
