now I will feel entirely justified in going on the offensive regarding you watching Lord of the Rings.

How about if I just rewatch The Ring instead? It's been awhile.

This way I'll be watching a better movie, and I'll save myself 47 hours.

LOL.

Where the fuck does this anti-LOTR bias come from? I mean in what universe does someone get the impression that they are not good films? That just does not compute.

You really need to AT LEAST watch Fellowship of the Ring. I mean, if you watch that one and don't like it, then fine, abandon ship. But I can't imagine you won't like it, unless you just loathe the fantasy genre.

LOL

Seen that one.

I actually was trying to think earlier about other action films that I need to catch up on (that aren't Die Hard or LW sequels). I'm sure I'll come up with a few more but nothing's coming to mind at the moment.

Part 2 of both Lethal Weapon and Die Hard are enjoyable.

It's not the genre, I love me some Game Of Thrones, which is essentially a fantasy.

LOTR just seems more cumbersome than its worth. Maybe oneathese days I'll give it a shot.

I loved the old animations as a kid.

The Peter Jackson films take a huge shit on Bakshi's rendition.

Like I said, watch Fellowship and then make a decision whether or not to go from there. It's an incredible film. If you're really that worried about the runtime, then watch the theatrical cut. That will save you about 45 minutes.

I've actually watched Die Hard 2 already. Just haven't gotten around to making a thread about it.

I've heard LW 2 is better than the first.

Die Hard 3 >> 2 so you're in for a treat

Lethal Weapon's 2 & 4 are great fun, 3 is pretty good, but really the chemistry between Gibson & Glover is just special, and the whole series is dripping with it.

I've seen Hard Boiled.

Oh & I almost forgot... skip the other ones

They don't exist, kinda like Indiana Jones 4

(which doesn't exist btw)

I actually saw Die Hard 4 already in the theater. Which one was that, Live Free or Die Hard? The one where Bruce Willis jumps onto the wing of a fighter jet (if I remember correctly)?

Yeah, I remember going to see that one. So it wasn't that I hadn't seen ANY Die Hard films, I just hadn't seen any of the ones that mattered.

Definitely arguable that Lethal Weapon 2 is better. No triangle chokes though.

Spoiler alert!

No triangles, but Nazi dance kicking is a decent replacement.
