Social The Fox News Effect

Is this your dumbass go-to excuse for every unfavorable poll result?

Are you still going to be quoting that 20 years down the line??

"Oh yeah??? Remember when these polls said Trump had no chance of winning in 2016"

"Dude, that was 2 decades ago"

No, in 20 years from now there will most likely be more up-to-date "Dumb ass excuse" videos that I'll be able to use.

But for now, I'll use the most recent ones, which being only a couple years old, are pretty recent.

Let me know if you have any other questions there Charlie.

Typical Fox News viewer... Not even the same poll, but I guess if one poll is wrong, they are all wrong all the time forever and ever

I have a question where is the credible evidence of this widespread voter fraud you and your fellow wingnuts are always talking about? I haven't seen any yet so maybe you have some top secret evidence that proves that widespread voter fraud exists?

As recently as 2016, 45 percent of Republicans still believed that the Affordable Care Act included “death panels”

A 2015 poll found that 54 percent of GOP primary voters believed then-President Obama to be a Muslim

Only 25 percent of self-proclaimed Trump voters agree that climate change is caused by human activities.

Only 43 percent of Republicans overall believe that humans have evolved over time.

Forty-six percent of Trump voters polled just after the 2016 election either thought that Hillary Clinton was connected to a child sex trafficking ring run out of the basement of a pizzeria in Washington, D.C., or weren’t sure if it was true.

Sixty-six percent of self-described “very conservative” Americans seriously believe that “Muslims are covertly implementing Sharia law in American courts.”

Polls are bullshit. Name one person you know that has ever participated in any such poll. Maybe some online nonsense but even then, only people with strong feelings would respond.

I consider myself conservative. I don't recall being asked my opinion on any of these topics.

Polls are just things people with shitty arguments pull out to pretend people are on their side.

These are scientific polls done by one of the very best pollsters in the industry. It's not the polls fault if they have results you don't like. It just shows that the Republican party is doing a very good job of driving anyone out of the party who has more than 2 active braincells. Which brings me to another point polls also show that the Republican party is getting curbstopmed among college voters you can thank decades of white grievance politics and the rise of Donald Trump for that.

Whenever I see someone posting polls as an argument, I know they have lost.

Lots of Fox News white knighting going itt.

Whenever I see someone posting polls as an argument, I know they have lost.
Whenever I see somebody whining about polls it's obvious it's a poll they don't like. Sorry you can whine about FAKE POLLS all you want but only 43% of Republicans believe in evolution, over half to this day still think Obama is a Muslim and the Republicans are getting starched among the college educated voters.

I didn't say anything about voter fraud, you did. Hillary tore up southern Cali because there is a high population of Mexicans living there. Everyone knows that.

I m talking about polls being wrong.

Typical Fox News viewer... Not even the same poll, but I guess if one poll is wrong, they are all wrong all the time forever and ever

You gotta admit though, they were not even close with Hillary in 2016.

The original FAKE NEWS was media outlets like CNN and MSNBC assuring the Democrats that their candidate couldn't lose, which undoubtedly led to many people not bothering to go out and vote because they were told their candidate was a lock.

I wouldn't doubt it if these polls were all fabricated bullshit.

The funniest part is you believe in all those things on the polls he listed

You believe In ACA death panels

Obama is a secret Muslim

You don’t believe in climate change

You think the democrats rannpedophile rings with Hillary

And sharia law will one day be the law of the land

You’re literally that guy

These polls are fabricated to make Republicans look bad? I'm so very sorry champ but that bridge was forever crossed at the precise moment the host of the Apprentice won the Republican Presidential Nomination. The only way the Republican party could look worse is if Eric Trump becomes the Republican Presidential nominee someday.

??? You know Hillary was very close to winning right? Won the pop vote even.

And something happened after those polls but before the election....... cant quite remember.......

THE COMEY LETTER AND THE ENSUING MEDIA FREAK OUT 11 DAYS BEFORE THE DAMN ELECTION!!!

After pretty much winning the election for Trump, an election he was on track to lose handily, how does he show his gratitude to James Comey? He fires his ass and that ladies and gentlemen is the very definition of Karma.

I've started watching fox about as much as other news, and I wasn't asked these questions. I could answer them. The white suburbanites I grew up with, who I may have traded for watching fox 5-6 years ago, they aren't stupid, either..

Somehow doubt that anybody that lives in this entire tri-county area was asked these questions after being asked what news they watch.. So who the fk did they ask? Did they poll people in a single rural southern town?

Basically, I don't trust these statistics, and I say that as somebody who thinks fox should have had to admit their bias or lose the right to call themselves "news."

It's reasonable to question whether the survey is free of bias. It certainly had a confirmation bias-y feel to it because it's just too true to type to sound real.

Having said that, it's not convenient now, but later, I will post a different sort of source altogether that comes to the same conclusion as this survey. That's convincing*.

*assuming I recall correctly. Going by memory.

These poll question are asked using the same methods as any other opinion polling.
