Really enjoyed both crossover episodes but I like The Flash episode a bit more. The Flash vs. Arrow fight was obviously the highlight and it was very well executed, giving both combatants to show off their powers and skills (even though they magically handicapped Barry... again).

Good job bringing in Prism so that it gives a valid excuse for the Flash/Arrow fight. But as a villain, Prism was an eh. Captain Boomerang was way way cooler.

Diggles' reaction to the Flash was hilarious.

Latino Fitz has now become the Most Valuable supporting character in the show. He just brings this zest, energy and unabashed enthusiasm that makes the show more fun. Plus he always brings the funny moments.

Flash vs Arrow gave me goosebumps. It was about time we got to see Flash show off some of his powers.

Yeah, Flash goes from being quick enough to react and outrun that bullet to the slowness in his fight with Arrow.
Average bullet travels 1700mph. Average arrow is 1/10 that speed, say Green Arrow is twice the average, that is still 1/5 the speed of a bullet which Flash just outran.
They need to get some consistency in regards to Barry's powers.
Have you ever watched video of a mantis shrimp or read about them? They have the fastest limb movement in the animal kingdom, "punch" with their claws at 50mph, like being shot with a bullet.
With Barry's speed, his punches would be turning people's organs into goo and bones to dust. That makes it rather tough to do action realistic for this DC universe.

Anyway, I enjoyed the crossover - first Arrow episode for me. Arrow's trap with the arrows shooting at Barry's back was a pretty good scene.

They have to handicap him. Especially on a TV budget.

The Flash is probably one of the strongest superheroes in the DC Universe. Almost Superman level.

Powerful is the more appropriate term to describe The Flash. He is up there with Superman, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern.

Strongest? How is he strong?

"Infinite mass punch - Introduced in Grant Morrison's JLA title. Flash (Wally West), traveling near the speed of light acquired the relativistic mass of such speed to impart blows which could hit with the force of "a white dwarf star," enabling him to knock down such powerful foes as the White Martians with a single punch. Flash's own durability is regulated by the Speed Force in such cases."

I thought they explained why he wasn't going all out even in a rage; he was still trying to one up ollie...not necessarily destroy him..more like prove he was better and humiliate him.

All the things Ollie did in the fight fall in line with things the character has been known to have trouble with...i.e. sneak attacks...being distracted and trying to humiliate guys not necessarily destroy them.

And every single thing ollie mentioned before they fought...came true in the fight.. instead of being precise or being thorough Barry was dependent on being faster or making ollie look bad or feel helpless.. as a result the fight was tougher than expected.

The arrows move in slow motion..he should have been able to see they were trick arrows...but instead focused on avoiding them and rubbing it in ollie face. When he got concise he could have taken off at super speed to get ollie...but figured he was too fast to hit and got hit from behind.

He could have taken ollie out when he circled him..instead he tried to embarrass him...he could have disconnected the second grapple line...he could have ked him when they fought hand to hand..but once again was showboating... could have caught the arrow that went through his leg..but was too busy stating u can only fool him once..figuring the arrow was too hurt to harm him and he was too fast.

Barry hand cuffs himself customers even angry he isn't a killer or fighter; arrow knows that and took full advantage of his character habits and dependency on his powers to fight him. Spider man... superman and others do that..if a guy like the punisher or batman had those powers they would end crime asap..due to totally different mindsets.

As batman says Clark is too nice...so is barry....

And once again..I hadn't seen flash be that aggressive with any other guy he faced not snare or multiplex or girder or the mist... the flash that fought arrow was the most offensive flash we had seen.

In the comics batman calls out the flash for not having his rogues under control..flash claims they are smart organized and have array of weapons that makes it very hard for him to stop or even slow them.

The tranquil arrow was pretty slick after flash recovered from the explosion...I was like dam the single fight ending blow was on some batman shit...then flash did that vibrating thing and I was like dam ollie is fucked.

Bats is a fine one to talk. He's constantly having to put the same goons away over and over again.

I think his point is with your powers...you shouldn't have rogues who successfully commit crimes; your a superman level threat...how can these second rate guys give u this many issues.

Batman is a human with training tools and money...so there is only so much he can do with his power level everyone except zoom...prof zoom...amazo...Darkseid and guys like that should be threats...not captain boomerang.

A bloodlusted Flash would destroy pretty much every hero in the DC universe, with only a couple exceptions imo

Liked the Arrow episode more. Captain Boomerang was really well done, I though he was going to suck. Flash vs Arrow would have been just as good if it was literally just the fight scene, and some Diggle reactions. Rest of the episode was pretty throw away.

Anyone seen the preview for next week?

I thought the preview for next week was some guy with fire powers on a bridge defending himself against a couple of punks who were harassing him....or am I mistaken?

That peak at Firestorm was the ending stinger (which have mostly been of Wells doing something mysterious), not the promo. Here is the preview for this week:

Mark Hamill Will Play 'The Trickster' On THE FLASH
The-Flash-Trial-of-the-Trickster-James-Jesse-6.jpg

The CW brought back the original TV Flash, John Wesley Shipp, to play Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) father in their new take on the character, and now it seems his old enemy from that fondly remembered '90s series will be joining him. According to Hitfix, Star Wars legend Mark Hamill will return to play The Trickster in the 17th episode of The Flash, which will air sometime next year. From the official character description below, it sounds as if Hamill could actually be seen as reprising the role of an older Jesse James (though it does make it clear that he'll be a "new interpretation"), helping Barry to apprehend the updated version of the character, Hannibal Lector style.

"Mark Hamill returns in a brand new interpretation of James Jesse (aka The Trickster), a role he originated on the 90's 'Flash' series. In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original's deadly footsteps. The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original 'Flash' on the CBS version."
