My brain has to turn off whenever Barry looks someone dead in the eye, mask or no, and doesn't do the "vibrating face" thing until shouldn't-see-my-face person got several moments of an unobstructed view.

When he went the go see Iris he should have worn the breather part of the suit. Why show off something that can hide his identity then not used it when he is trying to be discreet.

I agree that Iris is beautiful. I just don't like Iris West being a regular character because the writers have to put on some elaborate reason to feature her in every episode and create some BS drama. It's the same complaint I had with the first two seasons of Arrow with Oliver Queen's mother, sister, best friend Tommy and Laurel.

One of the great things about The Flash is that the supporting players are already part of Team Flash. The psycho prof, American Simmons, Latino Fitz, and Detective West are all in the know and have a reason to be featured whenever a new situation arises. Same with Agents of SHIELD.

I quite liked that episode. The effects for Girder were surprisingly well done. The kept his time in metal form to a minimum to save on the budget, but what they did manage to get in there was great looking for something that's on the CW.

And that ending.

CA may have low budget but they do the best with what they have and do a spectacular job with it...

Interesting dynamic having Barry get his ass kicked repeatedly and badly; I know alot of people say he conveniently forgets to use his powers ...I like to think its a hint of realism..in the use of his power..esp when in emotional stressful situations...or after he is hurt.

That episode was a step back. The writing was awful. Pretty much the only good thing about that episode was the TV version of Flash's IMP.

So, I'm guessing Eddie Thawne will be Professor Flash or Reverse-Flash and will become Flash's enemy with Iris in the middle?

Not as bad as Laurel in Arrow, but annoying just the same.

I don't find her annoying at all. She shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Laurel.

All the shortcomings with the show I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the writers. It's hard to make any of that shit they have the actors spouting sound anything but cheesy.

Not really. He knew her as a friend for years before he moved in with the Wests, and that was right before puberty started to hit.

Not sure if I'll stick with the rest of the season or not. I quite liked the show at the start of the season; I like the cast and the special effects are well done, but I'm just not finding the Flash to be a particularly compelling character, and as others have pointed out, the writing's been pretty uneven from week to week. I think I'll probably just keep an eye out for Grodd and future crossovers / appearances from Arrow.

Gotham's been the opposite for me - started off pretty weak but has been getting stronger as time goes on. Likewise for Constantine, only four episodes have aired so far but aside from the shaky premiere episode it's been really quite good, and I'd go so far as to say it's my favorite new show of the year thus far.

I almost gave up on this show after the pilot because of how cheesy it was to the point where I had to just look away at times but I stuck with it and I enjoy it a lot more now.

The problem is even if this show picks up on it's writing and strays away from the theme of killing off a new enemy each week (come on just have at least some recurring characters...) and we start to love the characters DC is still fucking itself because Flash is going to be played by someone else in the very near future in the movies... This is without a doubt the dumbest possible decision. Why have us become invested in a character only to have it change for the films, then I assume back again for the show?

I said it before elsewhere but if AoS had cast different actors for Coulson and other characters common to both the show and the films I can guarantee you that the show would have flopped immediately and we wouldn't have had a season 2.

Either way I will continue to enjoy this show but it will be hard for me to be invested in both the TV and film adaptations being portrayed by different actors.

I would think so too.

No one else knows that West is looking into Barry's mom's murder besides Barry and Dr. Wells, right? So, it seems a little odd that as soon as he finishes talking to Wells, that the Reverse flash comes into the picture.
