Kid is way too young to be the Flash, At least Amell looks like he is 30-ish and is the right age to be stuck on an island for 5 years. This glee kid is supposed to be a lab tech? He must have just gotten out of college then.

Hopefully the flash will do his time on Arrow and not fuck up that show too much, and then go off and get cancelled on his own show.

Bigger question is the will Flash break out in song :P

Flash Gets its own Pilot

Apparently Grant Gustin's episodes on Arrow (upcoming episodes 8 & 9, air dates 12/4 & 12/11) have so impressed the execs at CW that the show will be getting it's own pilot. Originally they were going to do a back-door pilot as episode 20 of this season's Arrow, but it's now going to be it's own thing. This is a very encouraging sign, and it also means the pilot will have a bigger budget to work with than if it were done as an Arrow episode.

CW’s ‘The Flash’ To Do Stand-Alone Pilot Instead Of ‘Arrow’ Backdoor Pilot Episode

Freeing up a late season episode for Arrow is a definite bonus. This news works out for the best for both shows.

Great news. Flash deserves to be introduced in his own pilot.

Started watching Arrow, it's pretty good but CW fascination with beautiful people is a little weird. Seems everyone on that, and well any CW show for that matter is off the wall good looking. Almost never see a fat or average person on the show, unless it calls for it.

It almost makes everyone just blend in, it's just something weird I've always noticed.

I think that is the case with most Network TV. I tried watching Revolution, but people were way to pretty and way too clean to be living in an apocalypse. For all the faults of walking dead, which there are many, at least the people look dirty and fucked up.

I, for one, love beautiful people. Not too many ugly or even average people in Hollywood anyway.

Don't get me wrong, the love for beautiful people is strong for me too. However, when you have too many beautiful people it just looks unnatural. It takes me out of the immersion as well. Besides it can't be that hard to find some average looking people to just be stand-in's on the show.

It's like you have to be at least a 8-10 to even exist in that universe, lol.

Vibe Reportedly Set to Become a Regular Character in FLASH

Vibe-New-52-Dragonlord.jpg

One of the things that has helped to make The CW’s Arrow a fan favorite is the inclusion of other characters from the DC Comics Universe in the series. It probably shouldn’t come as a surprise that it looks like the new Flash TV series will follow the same formula. According to a new report on Moviehole, The CW’s The Flash pilot episode will feature an appearance by Hispanic hero Cisco Ramon, who is better known as Vibe. This news really shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, especially as The Flash writer Geoff Johns has made it clear that he's a fan of the character, and writer/producer Andrew Kreisberg actually wrote Vibe's solo series.

As his name suggests, Vibe has the metahuman ability to emit powerful vibrations from his body. In the New 52, Vibe got his powers from being caught in the event horizon of a Boom Tube created by Darkseid which resulted in the death of his brother. He is a member of the Justice League of America. If Vibe’s appearance in The Flash pilot proves popular, it’s rumored that he could become a regular on the series. There's currently no word on whether or not he will be portrayed with his powers.

^ That would be cool. There needs to be at least one break-dancing reference.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Vibe is gonna get his powers from the Particle Accelerator explosion that gave Barry his powers (except Vibe won't be hit by lightning).

I'm thinking, he and his brother on a high school trip to the Particle Accelerator, BOOM, brother dead, kid has powers, tries to hide them, sees Flash's heroics and tries to meet him by stopping crimes himself.

Thoughts?

Vibe? Worst. Name. Ever!:icon_lol:

It was the 80's, man. Don't judge. You wish you could be this cool:

I actually hope they do something closer to that than the froofy diamond quilted vest he's got now.
