Tony Curtis felt that lighting was one of the most important elements of making a movie, and I can see his point. You see people, costumes, sets, etc. on behind the scenes things and they can look a bit tacky; you seen them properly lit on screen and they look fantastic.
Another theory is that there was a previous Flash (a la Jay Garrick) in the past.
After watching the pilot months ago, I just rewatched the first episode and noticed the yellow and red streaks that circled around Barry's mom and it got me thinking that maybe Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom wasn't the only metahuman present that night.
It's possible that the red streaks belonged to Flash. Maybe Barry traveled back in time at one point to try and prevent his mom's death. He fights Zoom (hence the red and yellow streaks) but his mom still dies. Another theory is that there was a previous Flash (a la Jay Garrick) in the past.

Originally envisioned as a backdoor pilot episode of Arrow, Flash will now film a regular pilot directed by David Nutter, a move clearly geared toward a series pickup.
Cosnett plays star Detective Eddie Thawne, a recent transfer to the Central City Police Department, whose past is a mystery and who harbors a dark secret. Panabaker plays Caitlin Snow, a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fianc
Flash is about to get the Hogan big boot!
There were a lot of good things also about Smallville. I haven't really thought of the show in a long time, so it would take a while to list them down. Was there anything you liked about Smallville?
One of the recent DC Animateds, he does prevent his mother's murder, and ends up fucking up the timeline really badly.
Mummy gots to dieded.
