The fight bible. (filled with anything and everything you ever need to know)

Congrats on the two wins.
Vids???

Your thoughts on choosing weight classes?

As I mentioned I am hoping to fight in about 9 months.

I am 6'2" 170, maybe 15% body fat (last measured at 16.6% but would be under that now), what do you think about bulking to say 180+ and then cutting to 170, or I could not bulk and without too much effort cut too 155.
I would be dam tall for the division.

Also posted some good stuff in the other thread (Answers to my questions about muay or BJJ comps before your first MMA) but you haven't copied across, Not sure if a reason for that or not, but just a heads up because I found it pretty useful.

I would say do the cut to 155, if you can without being to drained, 170-155 isn't a bad cut at all unless your already a pretty drawn out 170.

You want to fight in the lightest weightclass possible. by the sounds of it, you would be a big 155 with a huge reach advantage.

I don't know what you look like so I have no idea.

I thought I answered your question in the other thread, I must have missed it. Sorry

Just Read the thread. I wish i had a mentor like you at my gym haha. plenty of good guys but the one guy i trained with the most, moved to Cali. All the info was helpful and i feel like my mma game just stepped up a notch just by reading this. thanks man.

Excellent read Josh, you really are a great person.

yea u do look a lil tired on the vid but still MUCH better then what i can do! haha
but ohh ok ur natural weight is around 135 tho right?
and i wish u the best with ur condition.

i am naturally around 155 but since i broke my ankle i havent been doing much of anything so i think i might be around 145 to 150 im like 5.8 ft. or something like that.

im really hoping my freaking ankle gets better, like to run and jump rope with confidence , im sure il gett there eventualy.

u seem like a cool guy dont worry bout loosing , i wouldnt.
Every dog has his day!
and hey u kever kno u might b the one getting into the ufc!
keep ur head up bro ur an inspiration to me.

Rest man.. REST! Believe me, I injured my ankle while playing soccer, I wanted to go pro at that time, I used to train every day of the week, I went to a doctor and I can't even remember half of what happened, then after some shitty tests he told me to lay off for 6 weeks, of course like an idiot I did some jogging and kicked the ball around with my opposite foot.. Not a smart thing to do!

I just prolonged my injury and then it didn't turn out the best way, believe me people, never ever ever play around with ankle injuries, they're the worst, work on other parts of your body, study as much as you can and then come back 100% fully motivated when your ankle recovers.

"Is anyone up.com"?

Starting the "Horse Dick" Harley XL War Wagon

gotta love the internet, this shit has exploded

moral of the story, don't send your girlfriend naked pictures of yourself unless your sure you can delete them when you two break up.

Good moral man. Just a tale of technology biting us in the ass (or horse dick in some cases) lol

me neither....

Anyways, thank your ex for all the new fans. The gate at your next fight is probably going to increase.

Speaking of "increase", you should talk to Viagra or ExtenZe, you could probably get a sponsorship in a second!

Nice read thank you ts
I was wondering if you could tell me how i should deal better when i lose matches

Josh, you actually did a great job:icon_excl Very nice to share thoughts!

Carry on this training! Improve your training, analise your fights, pay attention to mistakes and keep doing a better job, more practics, more sparrings. I dont know who trained you, but if you unhappy with a instructor, so change.
AND! Very important, dont panic, dont loose a hope. Back on track! Good luck with your journey!!!

im 6'4'' 364lbs and I would like to take my first ammy fight march 3, but for some reason my computer wont let me open the file that has all the ammy rules for Massachusetts if you could post them i would be very greatfull.

I must have a lot of time on my hands because I actually just tried to copy and pm them to you but the file is 30 pages long. Visit your local library my dude. :icon_idea

Josh -- Your writing is motivating and informational. I was wondering your opinion on how well Muay Thai training transfers over to Western Boxing? I found an mma gym that is real cool, offers boxing/muay thai/bjj. I'm 26 now and have always been active, but only had beginner boxing and kickboxing training, but I am thinking since I'm this old if I have a chance to be a competitor it will be in boxing. I ask about Muay Thai just because it looks cool.

Very informative stuff. Is like to start up but I only have a boxing and judo club near. Plus I'm 6"4 180lbs so in need to get up at least another 20lbs.
