Don Frye was pre ufc 10 and very well rounded (Judo Brown Belt, High level D1 wrestler, and former pro boxer).

Guy Mezgers name rarely gets thrown around an i'm not sure why. He was a professional kickboxer, a state champion in wrestling, and brown belt in BJJ.

Frank Shamrock has said that training with Mezger was the reason why both fighters where so successful (both where extremely well rounded, especially given the time period).
