I'm 37 bud, I own guns and have killed and field dressed deer, I'm registered independentthanks and it wasn't easy let me tell you
First off my father is Dominican my mother is white, my father made five kids by the time my mom was 22 she had five of us and was alone.
My father never taught me spainish and I spent my middle school days getting the shit kicked out of me for simply telling all the kids in my school that I was half spainish.
The blacks and the Spanish beat me while calling me a lying white boy..
I couldn't just bring my dad in to prove that I was telling the truth because he was somewhere else.
I spent my highschool days smoking weird and doing spoken word poetry, hanging out with such famous leftist scum from providence like Jared Paul and sage Francis
My early 20's consisted of selling my poetry living in leftist communities and attending every anti war demonstration of note post 9/11
I was once a braindead zombie like @D 1 Wrestler , not only was I a proud kale eating leftist I was leader in that community...
Something happened though at the age of 25 and I began to mature, here I am at 33, a success
This is the greatest country in the world
Shit partisan poster^^^^^^^^^^^Just going by the ones I knew but posted the link to be fair.
It is what it is per the link.
Nothing amuses me more than sherdoggers pretending they are "intellectual" because of who they vote for.
Trippy map broThe whole country is mostly uninhabited landmass, so unless deer and jackrabbits could vote... this would not be an effective way to determine how people in the US vote. Here's what an electoral map would look like if counties were resized by actual population.
Many smart people don't go for traditional education and there's many dumb dumbs out here with degrees.
I think of people that voted for Hilary may have done so due to the Dunning-Kruger effect now that you mention it.
Someone with a degree is far more likely to fall victim to DKE.
Trade skill worker >>>> non stem college graduate
Nothing amuses me more than any sherdogger thinking they're an intellectual.
Because that's what intellectuals do - post on an MMA forum all day.
So because someone uses their free time to post on a forum means they aren’t intellectual? What if people use their brains all day and come home open a beer and read some sherdog? I fail to see the connection as I think their are numerous people posting here who are quite intelligent
Lol no fucking way
That must have been one shitty ass engineer that leans right in all likelihood. lol
Shit partisan poster^^^^^^^^^^^
you think the earth is 6000 years old....There's a whole lot of "intellectuals" today that have no common sense.
Lol at blaming trump for the division while seeking pieces like these out and sharing them on a daily basis. Perhaps you should use a mirror before you try fixing the rest of us.While the results of Anson’s study suggest that being uninformed leads to overconfidence across the political spectrum, studies have shown that Democrats now tend to be generally more educated than Republicans, possibly making the latter more vulnerable to the Dunning-Kruger effect. In fact, a Pew Research Center poll released in March of this year found that 54 percent of college graduates identified as Democrats or leaned Democratic, compared to 39 percent who identified or leaned Republican.
This effect may help explain why certain Trump supporters seem to be so easily tricked into believing proven falsehoods when the President delivers what have become known as “alternative facts,” often using language designed to activate partisan identities. Because they lack knowledge but are confident that they do not, they may be less likely than others to actually fact-check the claims that the President makes.
This speculation is supported by evidence from empirical studies. In 2016, an experiment found that 45 percent of Republicans believed that the Affordable Care Act included “death panels,” and a 2015 study similarly found that 54 percent of Republican primary voters believed then-president Barack Obama to be a Muslim.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is particularly worrisome when considering issues that pose existential threats, like global warming. A 2017 study conducted at the University of New Hampshire, for instance, found that only 25 percent of self-described Trump supporters believed that human activities contribute to climate change—though 97 percent of scientists who study climate change agree that they do.
This quirky cognitive bias could potentially be making it easier for Donald Trump to say unchallenged falsehoods to his more uneducated followers. In some cases, not only are these individuals uninformed, they are unlikely to ever try to become more informed on their own. In their minds, they have nothing new to learn.
While such a thought is disturbing, we should not lose all hope in trying to reach the victims of the Dunning-Kruger effect. At least one study found that incompetent students increased their ability to accurately estimate their class rank after being tutored in the skills they lacked. With the right education methods and a willingness to learn, the uninformed on both sides of the political aisle can gain a meta-awareness that can help them perceive themselves more objectively.
Unfortunately, Anson’s study shows that getting through to these people becomes more and more difficult as the nation becomes more divided. And with Trump’s fiery rhetoric and fear-mongering, that divide appears to always be growing wider.

Lololol...That was a lightning fast confirmation.
you shouldnt be. he's proving how correct the article is.Your link says:
78% of "Science and Math" workers are Democrats
70% of those working in "Engineering" are Democrats
74% of "IT" workers are Democrats
So I'm confused by your post.
