this fight is a freak show, and everyone in the business knows it. even casuals understand the difference between mma and boxing. this is more about conor's legacy being tarnished over a big paycheck. the only way i see conor coming away not looking so bad is if he doesn't get knocked out or badly tko'd. if he does, that highlight reel will hurt his career.

This fight is on Showtime. Is the UFC hoping to ride Conor's Coattails? He may very well walk away from thr sport after he gets worked by Mayweather for the biggest payday of his life. That's not good for long term business .

I don't know, perhaps to argue for no reason, ask them. You seriously can't tell me that the majority of posters here aren't A: Uneducated about the actual sport, and B: Disrespectful guys who use this board as a means to trash fighters they've never met.

The A part is apparent by the silly stuff people say in regards to how fights will go, and the B part is apparent because this is very WWE'ish culture that came to MMA a few years ago. It was always there, but I remember these boards being more chill before TUF and Lesnar.

I think he cares more about the DINERO than what people think of him. Conor is filled with haters, personally, if everyone thought I sucked at fighting because I lost in the sport of boxing as oppossed to my MMA career, I wouldn't care when I come out of it MILLIONS of dollars richer at a young age of 30. Got another 30 years to enjoy life if I keep in shape.

Yes, and many can be found here on Sherdog, the premier website for the "knowledgeable" MMA fans and discussions. This is how I know they exist outside of this site in huge numbers, just using logic. And of course, the occasional friend who isn't into combat sports, but is telling you that if Floyd wins, it proves Boxing is better.
