The death of UFC

Well, hopefully it cleans this place up a bit, when all the bandwaggon "MMA fans" who don't know anyone besides the current Champ and contender, decided to leave for Boxing because it's "superior, and Floyd proved it"

Why would they sign up to a website about mma discussion if they're bandwagoners

I'm pretty sure everyone is completely aware of Conor's slim chance to win. On my way home from work today the local ESPN radio guys were saying as much. If the mainstream knows then everybody knows. But we're all going to buy and watch it anyway because it's awesome. This won't kill the UFC at all.

If Conor loses to Floyd it's meaningless, everyone will say "obviously he lost, he isn't a boxer." On the other hand, if Conor wins it pretty much undermines and exposes the last 20 years of boxing.

Will be when Conor loses to Floyd. Just watch.
Why? If Conor lasts for 1 rd, is a win for MMA.

Any fight fan knows this is just a pure spectacle. Plus, just the entertainment value makes it worth it -- half the people that buy the fight just wanna see if Conor throws a headkick.

The casuals won't

They will be devastated

Conor and the UFC have nothing to lose. If he pulls off a miracle the UFC has arrived

Not really. Nobody really believes McGregor can win, and he'll probably not fight in the UFC again anyway.

If Conor even wins a round, it is a huge blow to boxing. Floyd has 49 fights and Conor has none. Casuals will just look at those records when they show the tale of the tape and be like: "WTF?". Conor is the biggest underdog in probably sporting history in this fight and has nothing to lose, only something to gain.

Exactly. It's the casuals who make up the majority of ppv sales. They ain't gonna give a rats ass about MMA once it's embarrassed on the worlds stage by what many view as the premier combat sport anyway.

Load of crap, there's millions of idiots out there who genuinely believe Conor has a good chance. "He's younger.... he's in his prime" bla bla

I hope they stay it's what makes 1 million ppv buys possible

I know it doesn't make great fights but the money will keep and attract the talent

It's not that anyone thinks he will win, the problem will be that he will look like a bum in there and get humiliated. Even if Mayweather fights uber negatively, Conor will eat some big shots and look like a clown.
