The Crown's Matt Smith pressured to donate pay disparity to #TimesUp

Why does the 'times up' movement need money from male stars? Is the movement not mainly twitter campaigns, on-line petitions and giving statements to the media?

Why do they need to take money from actors to do this? What bank account does the money go into, and who controls it?

Why should someone hand over their money to a pressure group because their agent did a good job negotiating? Where did this massive sense of entitlement come from?

I will be most disappointed if this dude hands over his salary to these fucking idiots.

It boggles the mind.

Apparently the money would go to the "Time's Up Legal Defense Fund." I guess its name is self-explanatory.

As you say, I will be very disappointed in Matt Smith if he caves in to their demands. You can't let the terrorists win.

I'm announcing a new movement:

#ManUp!

The social justice movement for men.

Our first case:

Chris Pratt only received $12 million for Passengers, while Jennifer Lawrence received $20 million

In Lawrence and Pratt, Passengers boasts two of the hottest names in Hollywood, and Sony will have to pay through the nose for them. The Hollywood Reporter claims the studio has agreed to pay Lawrence her asking price of $20m, while Pratt will get $12m (up from $10m) in the wake of Jurassic World’s all-time record-breaking $511m global opening at the weekend.

Justice for Pratt!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

If I was Matt Smith I'd tell these people to fuck right off and go drill themselves in their own asses.

According to this article:

Look, Claire Foy is excellent in her role and she anchors the show, but it's no surprise why Smith was offered the larger contract: People actually knew his name and he played the Doctor on the immensely popular Doctor Who for multiple seasons. It even says in the article that he came into The Crown with "considerably more experience." The simple fact of the matter is that no one knew who Claire Foy was before The Crown. It was her big break.

If you want to argue that now, after proving her worth, Claire should be making as much or even more than Matt Smith then I would actually agree. But to say that Smith should donate his money to some silly as #TimesUp bullshit because he was the more accomplished actor and had a competent agent is fucking retarded.

Smith should go Full Mayweather; throw some notes in the bitches' faces. Then tell them to go fetch him a sandwich and beer:rolleyes:

Riiiiight. Okay, time for Charlize Theron to donate her pay disparity relative to James McAvoy for Atomic Blonde to her local MRA organization.

I will donate the money to underprivileged women; $250 at a time.

It's run by a woman and that's all you need to know. Stop asking questions you fucking misogynist.

Who knew all you had to do was nag somebody enough to get their money?

Here's your donation in singles.
