The consequences of Conor/Dustin 3

You can't blame Poirier for wanting to make a shit ton of money...it's on the UFC to arrange the fights that make sense.
I actually feel the exact opposite. I can’t blame the UFC for it, their job is apparently not to promote competition. Dustin wouldn’t exactly be going destitute by fighting for the lightweight title, and he’s always been game for fighting legit competition. This fight is senseless in terms of sporting, it’s end is predictable, and the division is going to be held hostage for it.

That is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. First of all none of these fighters owe fans like you a damn thing. If Dustin wants to fight only money fights, then he can do what he wants. If you don’t like that, then stop watching. Second of all, he’s not the champion, so he’s not holding any other contenders back. You want to blame someone for that, then blame Dana or Khabib.
Watching sports for competition is the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard?
I never once said they owe me a thing.
I already stopped watching.
I absolutely blamed Dana for a while, but at this point he’s a lost cause. I expected athletes to pursue greatness within their sport. When athletes pursue tough competition in any sport the money inevitably follows. Merit becomes money.
Lastly, he and oliveira are the top contenders for a vacant title, buddy. Very few people would argue that. Which means that yes, this shit is holding up a division because a number one contender is ducking his counterpart in favor of a circus act against a guy who’s a failed LW.

oh and hard fuckin lul at “blame Khabib”.

If Connor wins just be prepared to have the belt defended every 2 years boys.

so fucking stupid.

Olivera - 8 fight win streak
Conman - 1-2 in his last 3 with that win coming against Cowboy and him getting dominated in the two losses.

Dustin sleeps Cocainor again. Gaethje sleeps Chandler. Then we get Dustin vs Justin for the title.
<{JustBleed}>
They can't let Dustin win again. They really can't. Like paying Dustin whatever he needs is massively cheaper than ending Conor's ufc career. It can not be left to chance.

Well imo it should be the UFC's job to maintain integrity in the sport. Also I'm pretty sure Dustin's reasoning is that the lightweight belt will always be there to gain, it's going nowhere since he's convinced he will beat Conor again. Why not fight Conor one last time to complete the trilogy and make tons of money before Conor becomes irrelevant?

Jorge is fighting for the belt again, don't be surprised when Dana puts $$ in front of logic.

I hate to break it to you guy, but only fans care about crap like that. These people don’t get hit in the head every day to prove they are the best, they do it because this is the best way they know how to make money.

Merit does not become money. If you want proof of that, then look at Tony or Oliveira, or Khabib and Nate before they fought Conor. Not to mention that there are no easy fights in MMA. In other sports, you can fuck up a game or two and still end up the champion, but in MMA if you fuck up one fight you can go from title contender to a bum.

Instant rematches should be for a good reason. The only good reason for this rematch is for Dustin to provide more money for his family. But otherwise - there is none. Conor doesn't need to fight anymore. Conor also has a good target on his back and there were major cracks in his armor, that any other fighter will exploit. He may be successful but will be defeated again eventually. Also the new Conor is a bit boring and repetitive in his promos. Even as a hardcore fan, I have to admit, his sense of reality went for a walk and never came back, almost like for poor Tony Ferguson. I wish someone in his camp had the balls to slap him hard and tell him to stop picking these "winnable" fights...

And the 1-2 is over 4 years and counting

It's a very unforgiving game. Look at Renan Barao: 32 fight winning streak, potentially seen as the greatest BW of all time, possibly seen as a future GOAT of the sport, and in 2014 was number 4 p4p ranked in the UFC. Now he's only won twice since then and never discussed for his greatness, but his only for his downfall.

Conor by TKO. Both gents now know each others game. Conor will go all in.

{<Mcgoat}

Conor only hurt the sport, while diccriders and idiots were saying his career is good for mma and other fighters.

I like how you guys consider yourselfs "hardcores" and laugh at "casuals".
Yet you are couch worms and call elite world class athletes "bums".
Also you argue who is or isn`t on peds.
If you had any clue you would now there is no way a clean person can compete against juiced one.
There is now way someone can be elite athlete without ped.
And "usada" is a joke.
Mark Hunt always look a bit suspect to me. No way you can build that bud naturally. I know, I tried.

two different people that 145lb conor to that 155lb. look how different they fight. One had you sold. the other seems like he is trying to box more than fight. to focused on the money fight he can not win. conor was not effective because he was a good boxer. he is a good puncher with good kicks, patience, timing and precision. he forgot why he was good. hes hung up on some weird boxing bullshit. maybe he knows he loses the manny fight hes just after the money who knows.

Stay on your feet Pussy !!!
