The commentary is truly unbearable now

Honestly what bothers me most is how WMMA fights you have a olympic wrestler and former HW champion just sort of lie and pretend the girls have skill and it's an interesting fight. You know deep inside DC wants to correct all the amateur technique they are using.

I'll take commentator bias over lies and propaganda, as long as they actually believe what they are saying. That said, what they say doesn't influence my opinion and I can hear others without changing my own thoughts so it's sort of whatever. I've watched commentary in languages I don't know because I don't care about it enough compared to the fights. Bizarre how often commentary gets brought up here when the UFC has far worse things wrong.

I could never fake talking through a fight like for wmma, at home I'm yawning and totally disintrested. Yet I'll be hearing how one chick is "imposing her gameplan and bringing the fight to her" while they struggle to complete a takedown from clinch or some bullshit. Funny enough DC will correct the men fighters that don't do it properly, but are sort of hands off with WMMA unless its blatant they are doing the wrong thing. Bless them for attempting to stay enthusiastic through the snoozers.

Oh they earn their pay. When Rogans there they get a bit braver and will laugh at it here and there

Compared to my other main sports Aussie rules and cricket as a rule the MMA commentators are excellent. DC without Rogan and Sanko are both great I think, they always tell me something i"m not seeing.

I just want these fucks to comment on what is actually happening, not what SHOULD be happening. DC is certifiably A.I and sanko seems like his human handler who's there to guide the learning curve. Anik infected everything with his random anecdotes of the personal lives of fighters, like their custody situations or drug use, Felder does his homework with Cruz and Bisping just baits trolls that don't actually exist. Stumble across an ESPN classic boxing rebroadcast and its night and day. You can close your eyes and the commentators will weave a tapestry you can almost see- do that with MMA and you'll be asking yourself if the signal got mixed with talk radio.

They are corporate and love to push the official company narrative. Their absolute infatuation with Payton Talbott was sickening. They were acting like the dude had Shane Carwin power and everything he was doing was perfect no matter the situation. Lots of over the top reactions for modern day reaction-culture. I wish they'd turn up the audio of the commentary team. The sound of the crowd and the fuckin' cornermen are far too loud, sometimes louder than the commentary.
