Lol at “reports”
Lol at “reports”
The GOP, Conservative Talk Radio, the rightwing base all cared when Clinton was cheating with Lewinsky. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.Who cares?
Yup. As long as he attacks their enemies and acts favorably towards their interests , like immigration, they will support him no matter what. Even if he is aThey know he is guilty and just don't care as long as he rustles libs.
Agreed. The most common defense I hear is "Everybody knew he was no saint so NBD!"No hyperbole intended here but I do not think Trump supporters think integrity matters at all. Trump could lie about literally everything, and do almost anything and they would still support him.
LOL! "Don't pay with cash"
*Please keep a paper trail of this so it can come back to haunt me*
I love how that is always the defense of Trump "he said DIDN'T, not did"

Lying constantly and having a lengthy history of extramarital affairs and misogyny is no longer an issue to becoming POTUS.
As is most usually the case, we get the government we deserve.
If lying mattered then it should matter now.The GOP, Conservative Talk Radio, the rightwing base all cared when Clinton was cheating with Lewinsky. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
So is your view we ignore all of it once exposed because there are likely more doing it?Tell me something, how many politicians or business do you think have been unfaithful and lied about it? How many sitting politicans likely have a similar skeleton in their closet? Maybe we should deep dive the backgrounds of every single political figure currently sitting for infidelity and lies and remove them from office because of it. Every single one.
Don't get me wrong, if you want to impeach him there's plenty of ammo you can choose from to try justifying it. This though...laughable.
Yes, that is what I'm saying. I don't know why they did, since that doc is not public. If I were to guess, it could be a blunder, or it could be a tactical decision to avoid a fight over what is properly privileged. Are you saying one of his other attorneys waived A-C-P on his behalf? Why would he do that? Sorry if this is just known it just doesnt seem to make sense.
As a news point, I would agree that its notable as yet another element in the Trump saga unfolding before the public eye. However, the focus on it as if it's just as big a news item as the other things he's being accused of and the amount of focus directed toward it that pulls attention away from potentially real issues like policy is what I shake my head over. This sort of thing is also at the heart of the burnout and hysteria cycles surrounding an increasing amount of voters in regards to Trump.People are missing the legal issue because of the scandal. This is one where the cover-up is worse than the affair. Not all cover-ups are crimes, of course, but this particular one maps onto a campaign finance violation.
That aside, the idea that people shouldn't bother discussing something unless it's worthy of removal from office is, frankly, stupid. Impeachment or bust isn't the standard for newsworthiness, and the people pretending that it is are being dishonest.
I dont think that Trump should be removed simply because he had an affair 8 years ago. But it's still a newsworthy event, made more newsworthy by the fact that he lied about it- and the president blatantly lying about something is definitely worth some discussion and reporting.
You started by asking how many politicians have had affairs. Lots, I'm sure. And when those are uncovered, they are and should be reported on. That's what happened here. If Trump is impeached, it won't be because he fucked a pornstar or three while his wife was with his newborn. That's not a basis to ignore it, though.
...I guess integrity doesn't matter anymore
I'm not on a side contingent upon the legal status of his actions. That is unknown. No I'm not, I'm very specific. Again.
Many people, myself included, couldn't begin to care about a man paying off a chick he slept with. Millions and millions of people cover up their infidelity every day. Rich folks, poor folks, middle folks, too many folks cheat and hide it. I don't expect 2018 President Man to do anything differently, and it literally means nothing in regards to illegal activity. However, if it is "proven", the word you used, that he paid off an affair illegally, in any way, then that would be a cause for great outrage.
Anyone can assume anything if they like or don't like an individual. I want something concrete from all this secret tapes stuff like proven (again your word) facts of an illegal action, rather than proven facts of a cheating husband.
I'm 100% on your side if proven illegal action is revealed. If "he hooked up with a slut but we are unsure of where the money came from" is the best we can get from super duper top secret recordings, then it's a hard pass from me. Hopefully there's more than this that will come so there's a real topic at hand to discuss.
Campaign finance problems would in fact be an actual issue. The fact of an affair simply isn't but yet that is the biggest push of this story. You actually hear very little about the potential of campaign finance problems related to this story. So is your view we ignore all of it once exposed because there are likely more doing it?
What other areas do we extend that into? If a politician is found to have campaign finance problems that cross lines but we think many other politicians are doing similar stuff, do we ignore that? Etc, etc??
They'll remember to care when it's someone else in officeWe already know he has none and his supporters proudly admit they don’t care.

There is no context to your question, so I'll just answer with what the tapes tell me. The tapes are sufficient evidence to conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that he had an affair and conspired to cover it up with either a cash payment or much more likely a corporate payoff scheme. The tapes are not sufficient evidence to prove that it was illegal to do this.If that is the case, I only have two simple questions then.
1) Do you prefer that people make their judgments, and a conclusions, without all of the facts prior?
Can you rephrase this? I don't know what you're implying here, or what bigger question you're getting at.2) Do you agree that secretly recorded tapes from someone like Cohen, with Trump, in bulk, should reveal proven illegal activity at some point?

I think like most of the 'dirt' on Trump, like Maddow's tax release special and the Russian Collusion catastrophe, it makes Trump look good and the media look shady and like they are collaborating with establishment politicians who are dirty af and looking to stay a the hog trough. The lengths they go to in order to discredit and remove him is not only desperate but completely unprecedented in American politics. We no longer have anything that resembles news media in the mainstream, but rather, just blatant team propaganda, which is waking more people up to their shenanigans than hurting Trump. And it's not just with the democrats, as when guys like Paul Ryan come out and slam their own team, it's not only unprecedented in team politics but reveals him as also being one head on the same coin. That tape helps Trump more than it hurts. Most people are going to listen to it and wonder what the hell the big deal is.
"What does he mean by 'cash'!?!?!? HMMMMMMM????????"
