I'm not even going to try to predict specific legal outcomes for Trump and his associates, other than a bunch more of them will cut deals and/or go to prison in the coming year(s). I don't know the law well enough to speculate about whether Trump or his people violated campaign finance or some other law when they paid off this woman.

The point of stating that the tapes were not proof that a crime was committed, is that ultimately the law will tell us if it was criminal. The tape can't tell me that there was a crime, and that's especially true here. If the tape had said that they murdered somebody, it would be a bit different, but in this case, I don't even know whether paying off the woman (however they did it) was illegal.
 
I like how Trumpsters on here were saying they would give Donald a benefit of a doubt because the media is just out to get him, to, well that shit don't matter anyway! We didn't vote for him because we cared about any of this! *So what... billionaires banging women on the side... who cares!*

As someone that is non partisan and liked Bernie the most, I see the real problem being that the FBI, CIA and judicial system is no longer non partisan, and Trump jay walking would be treated like a murder and a Bush/Clinton murder is treated like a jay walking.

DemExit happened because a whole generation of Americans woke up to how unfair and crooked the whole system is. We are sold an image of America being a land of laws that apply to all, fairness and equality, but the reality is, thus is one of the most corrupt countries in the history of the world. What ends up happening is people trust nothing, believe EVERYTHING is a conspiracy. and doubt the most basic truths that we know, like the world being round.

The fact that the powers that be are on a McCarthy Witch Hunt, searching for any scrap they can get to impeach Trump, rather than trying to make things work for the people they are sworn to protect is just disgusting. Meanwhile. We have Sey Hersch and Kim Dotcom revealing that there was NO HACK, but rather, A LEAK in the form of Seth Rich. The implications of this are STUNNING, and means there was not only a political murder and that Russia Collusion is a hoax, but also that there is a mass scale cover up going on, and many of the people that we once trusted are deep in to it.

Sadly, many people are still too brain washed by team politics and what they are constantly bombarded with in the media to truly wakeup and realizing what is going on. They have the attention span of a peanut and ignore the fact that they trusted these same liars to go in to Iraq twice over hoaxes (WMD and Kuwait baby incubator incident), went to Vietnam over a lie (Gulf Of Tonkin) and are told that the Defense Department lost 2.3 trillion and nothing is going to be done about it

With the promise of these tapes, I would have hoped for his lingo to place us in territory of "take the money from *insert place he shouldn't take it from* and pay off that chick". I'm starting to doubt we'll get anything truly concrete, and after it's all said and done will still be drawing our own conclusions. If what we'll get is recordings like this, they might as well have kept it a secret. I hope this is not the case, but I am not as optimistic about these tapes as when I initially heard about them.

I think there will be a concrete money trail that flows through at least one front company, as that is heavily implied by the reporting and leaks so far. So I expect we'll be in a good place to judge what happened.

Edison, I don't care if they have either. Unless you want to deep dive all of them for the same thing or Trump is proven to have committed a crime surrounding the payoff then no, I don't care. As I said, there are plenty of other things to focus on with Trump that have a better argument to him being a dumpster fire as President than that whether I may agree with them or not.

I believe Trump waived the privilege. However, discussing fraudulent conduct (appears to be on this particular tape) is not privileged.

I don't doubt that, but that show was a total farce.
These tapes aren't at the level, but they are not as revealing as billed. Maybe there is a more revealing tape that they're holding onto and they're just leaking info to bait people into coming forward with this stuff, but I don't see this information as enough.
 
It's just the first tape right? Supposedly there is at least a dozen.

Haha, thanks man. It's just scary to witness and not have a dog in this fight and watch from the side lines. I remember talking to my (now departed) grand ma about McCarthyism when I was learning about it in school. She said that people were genuinely terrified and that they really belived in the hysteria. With hindsight 50/50 years later, she just could not believe that she and so many others were supped by the insane hyperbole and fear baiting. It's like we constantly observe lessons in history but never absorb them. I constantly will talk to people, and especially see people here, that get so involved in the team politic think that they just throw logic out the window, ignore facts and just want to grab their pitchfork first and have the trial later. Definitely the scariest and most insane political time I have been a part of, but thankfully, the Internet has finally given us non partisan voices, so we are no longer solely reliant on garbage MSM.
