Someone in the thread mentioned Amazon was doing the 'One Episode A Week' release for Season 2. I didn't like the sound of that at all.

Three episodes a week are a worthy compromise.

How many episodes is this season? Eight? Like Season 1?
I Just looked it up.

After the first 3 episode release, it will become a weekly thing, every Friday, one episode at a time, with 8 episodes in total.

I'm glad they are staggering it, as I like something to look forward to, but I'd rather they release them in batches of at least 2.

The first season I gorged in one sitting, which felt like I ate 5 bags of chips.

*Sigh*

Lame.

One of the best aspects of these series on streaming platforms, rather than network & cable shows, is binge watching.

Though.... looking back at series like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones is the discussions about each episode each week.

Yeah, water cooler conversation pieces, and online/Youtube reviews, are far more numerous when it's a weekly thing. That's the biggest reason for them rolling it out like this.

Look how quickly coverage of season 1, or shows like the Witcher and season 4 of The Expanse left the airwaves/webspace.

For shows I really like, I almost enjoy the discussions as much as the actual show.

Still though, one episode a week isn't enough. Fucking 1st world problems lol

For Season 2:

Episode 1 sucks. I was about to write the entire season as sophomore slump. Everything was exposition. And the part where they introduces Stormfront with the Instagram live bullshit was awful. Poor-ass directing. And then Billy showed up which is awesome. Hughie and his punchable face are two of the worst things in the show.

Episode 2 was more of what I liked from S1. The part where Deep was tripping and singing with his gills were hilarious and was well-done, esp. the method acting. Billy saying "you VAGINA's" was hilarious. The scene with Kimiko and her brother catching up was touching. The scenes with Homelander and his son seemed surprisingly authentic.

Im somehow not feeling it like the first season, not sure why.

Stormfront is pretty funny so far, haven't seen any racist stuff yet with her.

That episode 3 was great! I've never been more turned on and terrified at the same time.

I'm just going to wait until it's done so I can binge watch it. It's really fucking stupid how they decided to release the season. If I'm watching a show on netflix or amazon I really expect it to be released all at once if I wanted to wait week by week I'd watch a show on tv.

So I'm two episodes in, and I have questions.

So Homelander 'saved' Billy Butcher from blowing himself up at the end of the first season.... why?

And he flew him so see his wife is alive... why?

And Billy and his wife didn't even have a conversation, and Homelander flew him out to Fort... Something... and let him live.... Why?

As homicidal as Homelander is, his leaving a loose thread like Billy Butcher alive, is out of character, unless I completely missed something or its revealed in Episode 3 or later in the season.

Also, I'm glad that Homelander saved the baby from the house exploding at the end of Season 1. Its weird, for me, to think he'd happily abandon an entire airplane of people to their deaths, but allowing an innocent baby to be blown up would have gone too far.

I think the explanation was Billy's wife made a deal with Homelander that she would raise the kid in exchange for him leaving Billy alive. I assume flying Billy out was meant as torture.

But then he goes back and wants to play happy family ? Doesnt make sense, why torture her first? Its not like he needs to torture her, he knows he can do anything he wants and she knows that to. Billy and what he did with him is kinda confusing in all this context for me too.

And It also doesnt make sense why Homelander works for Vought. Hes an egomaniac, he would never work for anyone, given his character, he would hire a PR person and license the 7 and his likeness, steal from other countries while there and whatever and make himself a saviour of american people and partner to the president. He obviously has zero regard for killing those who stand against him. Yet somehow hes a miserable employee with a contract. I dunno...
