At the same time, Volk wasn't trying to gaslight people by pretending it was the most exciting title fight of all time. As per usual, the Aussie GOAT has a sensible take.Imagine thiVolk knows what he’s talking about lol. Volk doesn’t know anything. Rando Sherdogger know more. I’d rather read their takes on this than listen to an actual world champions opinion.

Yea, cant complain when the rest of the card featured 2 spinning hellbow KOs.Honestly I found it a fascinating fight, I kept expecting Chimaev to eventually gas, he never did though. Probably a boring fight for many though, well whatever, the rest of the card was pretty great.
Yep, I agree. Since this is a Volk thread I think it's appropriate to mention that a lot of people gave him shit saying his first fight with Max was boring and he played it too safe. Now he's universally loved. The same people whining now are still gonna be excited to see Khamzat the next time he fights, he doesn’t even need some big win to get back interest… in a few months people will just remember how dominant he was
They fight against better fighters than they did before. You see it a lot with fighters as they become champions
Start off exciting fighters early in career, then become more boring, safer fighter as a champ
Aldo, GSP, etc
Hopefully it’s just a one off for Khamzat the cuddle wolf
No shit its hard, but if you're supposed to be some badass, you take that risk.

Especially when your opponent isn’t offering any resistance
