You deserved the Montreal screwjobUp to episode 6. Not sure I care to finish it. Just seems like a bunch of poorly written scenes strung together

I guess the whole "chosen by God" thing explains that, if people were gullible enough to believe it.I forgot to add one thing that made no sense and wasn't even remotely believable. It was poorly written and they should have taken some time to figure out a better way to do it.
That no one was able to figure out the company was making super heroes. The fact that no heroes were made outside of America would have been a dead give away. The government would be hell bent on figuring out how this is happening and only being in America would make it obvious that something is going on.
The fact that the mother knew yet our own government didn't know? BS. That made the whole thing even more unbelievable. Then they give that women a job instead of arresting her? That company would have been shut down and everything would have been taken in house and made part of the government based on national security concerns which would be well within their rights.
So other than handling that poorly I thought the rest was well done. Also god help them if they aren't able to figure out a weakness for the main guy.

People would believe that they are dumb. The Government? They aren't listening to that shit at all. Oh well such a fantastic show not going to let small plot hole like that ruin it for me. No show is perfect.
The real world is full of examples of governments saying and doing dumb shit. Exhibit A: what the Parliament of my country is currently doing. In any case, not believing the whole chosen by God shit is not the same as being able to prove Vought were responsible for the Supes. Especially since Vought would expend a great deal of money and effort to keep it a secret.
Your right there are lots of real world examples but this one just doesn't make much sense. They kept the secret for decades but a house mom knew? That's another thing they messed up on they shouldn't have made it so the parents knew it just makes it even harder to believe that no one knew.
Homelander is by far my favourite character. I hated him on first sight and steadily increasingly liked him more and more.
I look at it this way. The moms sole focus in life was to mold and prepare her daughter into one of the 7. Her focus and resolve was her super power and gave her the ability to stay determined and thus, stay quiet about it. She was also the only example of a mother who knew I believe, at least in the show. The babies at the hospital didnt seem to have mothers so maybe all the other ones were taken at birth or the mothers were killed.Your right there are lots of real world examples but this one just doesn't make much sense. That and the whole time everybody thought it was the corporation running compound V across the globe.Homelander was the shit. One of the best antagonist I've seen on TV in a good bit. That plane scene shows you just how fucked he can be.
The government would NEVER lie to us.The real world is full of examples of governments doing and saying dumb shit. Exhibit A: the fucking morons that, God help us, are in charge of my country at the moment. In any case, not believing the whole, "chosen by God" shit is not the same as being able to prove Vought were responsible for the Supes. rereading the comics and in comparison the show is mediocre, but how much justice could they possibly do I guess
also the heights of the characters bothers me, they couldn't find a taller guy for MM? I mean Hughie freakin towers over him, and why is butcher the same height as Hughie
but the worst offense is the Deep, they should've kept him black and his original costume design, not make him a straight up aquaman ripoff
plus the cliffhanger of season 1 completely jumped the shark and killed any motivation for butcher unless they really pull a rabbit out of a hat
nitpicking I know
