The belt doesn't really mean much anymore in most cases

Champ just means you make more usually

Puts more pressure on the title holder if anything

I’m not a fan of dominant champs and like when the belt has frequent turn-over. I like to see everyone that hasn’t faced each other face each other. Sometimes a reigning champ doesn't get to mix it up with someone that hovers below contender status.

I mean, Sean was a guy hovering below contender status, somehow gets a shot, and stylistically wins.

Its time for a guy like Izzy to go down and face some guys that are coming up he may not have fought yet. That to me keeps the divisions exciting.

I don't mind fun matches, but the champs aren't putting their titles up that many times a year anymore. I'm sick of the negotiations, injuries, hold outs. The UFC has taken the entertainment path so long it's hurting the sport aspect. You're getting log jams in divisions. The cards are weaker now as well because guys are fighting less.

The most egregious example of favouritism towards Sean was when they just chalked his fight with Munhoz up as a win despite him losing the first round and fouling Pedro. If it was anyone else they likely rebook the fight and run it back, but because it was sugar shins they just moved on because they can’t risk him losing.

UFC loves favouritism, Stipe is coming off a KO loss, doesn't have a win over anyone currently ranked, his last win was over 3 years ago and he's being gifted another title shot.

Khamzat hasn't fought at 170 in 2 years. He isn't a contender at that weightclass anymore.
